Dual capability USB-C and USB-3
I got the 2TB version for use as a Time Machine back up device for my brand new MacBook. The drive works well, no noise. The reddish orange plastic shock protection is nice. Drive itself has a USB-C interface, but it came with two cables - a USB-C to USB-C cable and a USB-C to USB 3 cable. So you could use it on an older computer and be ready for a new one.Data transmission is appreciably faster with the USB-C connection, as expected.I would buy again

Love the product!
When I am able to get the order filled, I love the product. It is a Great Product, Hard to get my complete order filled. I order in bulk and I can never seem to get all of my order. The order either cancels or is delayed so long that It should have cancelled. It would be nice if a merchant would not accept an order if they are not able to fill it in the time frame stated at the time of purchase. Rugged, heavy duty, nice size, about the size of two decks of cards put together. Nice weight.

if you have a laptop and work with video editing, you need this.
I'm a macbook pro user, I only have USB type C, and even tho I would love to have the Samsung t5 SSD, this hard drive does the job perfectly, I can store and edit from the hard drive without any issue. also, they are very strudy.

Hard to go wrong with this
Haven't dropped it or anything yet to test its durability but so far, so good. The rubber-armored outer case provides what should be pretty good drop protection when that time comes. This gives me more peace of mind than the plastic cases of my other, older external drives. Would definitely buy again, unless something better comes to market before I need another one in the next year.

Bought three of these and not a one has failed me so far! I love that I can easily carry and store my info and not have to worry about damage (especially with a house full of cats).

Product came exactly as described
Had no issues in receiving my LaCie Hard drive. It works smooth with no problems and came with the Adobe creative cloud trial as stated. Happy customer here, will definitely come back when the time calls for a new one.

Slow slow slow....
The speed is not even close to what they are claiming.I use it for music production and I have around 300gb of data stored in this 2TB drive. Some of the files were taking forever to load. Then I had to store it in my computer's drive only. What's the use?
