This unit pumps water...works extremely well so far. Have yet to install the proper 3way switch.Remember..no power no pumping. So if installed because your exposed to rain be sure of direct connection

The media could not be loaded.  I think I have had 5 or 6 of these over the years. They work for a couple years and then start to have problems waking up. A tap on the noggin with a paddle will get it going. But, too hard a tap and it has a hole in the top.I fasten mine to a chunk of plate steel and attach a PVC pipe to route the water over the gunnel. Its portable. I set it in my canoe or rowboat, clip it to a battery, and it will empty the rain water all winter long. That is until it freezes.If I wanted to keep my gillion dollar luxury yacht afloat, I would probably go with a higher end unit. But, these will keep my boats afloat until I win the lottery.

Works well on both auto and maunal, pumps grate (blue portion) is easy to remove from body. Sometimes debris does get caught in impeller so you have to pull the pump off and clean out the debris. All bildge pumps are that way, however ive seen others with same grate but has secondary stainless screen to protect the impeller... so this should get 4 stars but if you compare the price difference, i decided to give it 5 stars. But be prepared to clean the pump from time to time. Mine is mounted on a 17ft boston whaler, so even if it failed, i trust the boat will stay afloat😊

The float get stuck and will not auto come on. The slave shaft ses to deteriorate over time and causes the float not to move up. They could re design the shaft to fix the problem. But if you are relying on it to auto pump water out, the boat will sink or destroy your inboard motor

Its a BILGE pump for my 22 foot Deck boat no problem installing this product as long as you follow the instructions it works very good

I have an I/o 19 ft boat with limited room the lowest bilge area, where this needs to be mounted. They only way to complete the task is mount it on a board and glue it to the boat floor. Drilling new holes in fiberglass is not advisable. The only way I can see it can be done is to glue it with 5200 adhesive. Try drilling under a motor in a bilge. Virtually nightmarish and more likely dangerous to do. Go too deep the bottom weakens. I can see not other simple way to accomplish this install. So! I have to give it a fail. Kind of disappointing!

The media could not be loaded.  I use this to maintain a good water level in my 24’ round above ground pool when it rains. Also use it during the winter months to remove water off the pool cover. Pump excepts 3/4” barbed end. 12v batter from a riding mower works great!
