As the eagle sent by the High Lord of the DragonBones Council has been rapping on my window with its beak (politely but firmly) since I received its parcel, I feel it correct to send my missive by way of that same messenger.Greetings.Your dice set has exceeded my expectations considerably. Having purchased more than one seemingly-fine object only to have a scraggly bird deliver something shoddily-made and small of proportion, I was mightily pleased to see the size and heft of the sack. I was also pleased to see that its material and construction were finer than expected; rather than the papery not-velvet that so many dice-bags are made of, this is a cottony twill, still soft and lightweight but less given to immediate fraying. The bag is not lined, but the underside of the material has a different texture: somewhat satiny, I would say, with a gentle luster and smooth texture.Within, packaged separately, are many packets of jewel-like dice. My hoard is an organized hoard, so I was pleased to see the little bags neatly packed. I will delineate them here, though I suspect the colors will be unpredictable from parcel to parcel. Lovely pearlescent dice with gold numbers. Golden nuggets with bold black numbers. Fully six sets are green or yellow-green; this is well by me, as it is a favorite color. One set is black and star-speckled like a clear night; another is silver and marbled. Two are blue; one speckled like a sparkling sea, one clear as glass. Three follow the ways of violet, ranging from a pink of brilliant clarity to a pair of marbleized gems, one richly wine-colored, one purple as the finest amethyst. Of the remaining five, three are various shades of marbled gold--no two alike--while one is the low, fine red of a dragon's flame and the final is a lovely soft pearl. This is perhaps my favorite.Today, perhaps, I shall discover whether the dice roll as well as they look. Unless I discover these treasures to be unlucky, I shall consider them to be a fine and worthy investment.

As promised, this bag contains over a dozen sets of dice cast from a diverse selection of plastics. I commend DragonBones for their excellent colors -- lots of swirling pearlescent hues mixed with metallics and subtle glitters. Every set is unique and appreciated (and I've already located the luckiest d20).The dice are not perfect, but my complaints are *very* minor. One set was missing its d4. Another set had 2d4, so I mixed-and-matched. No harm done. A couple of the dice have small imperfections on the numbering, like the pointy-corner on the '2' missing. I wouldn't normally even bother mentioning this, but many of the reviews I've read of the various big bags o' dice on Amazon seem to take this as an extreme negative. Really, honestly, it's barely noticeable. The dice are fine, and they're <20 cents apiece, so who cares?Last, I have to applaud DragonBones for their goofily-wonderful customer service. As soon as I placed my Amazon order, I received this email:"… and the great eagle beats her wings and leaps from the castle walls, clutching your bag of DragonBones dice in a talon the size of a man. I believe that DragonBones would stand by its customer-satisfaction guarantee, but I certainly have nothing to complain about. Sure, these dice aren't 100% flawless. But neither am I, and these are close enough for me.Final answer: These dice are what you're looking for if you're looking to buy more dice than you really need. Plus, the guys running the business have a sense of humor, and that's worth my money.

This is a great collection of polyhedral dice, especially for the price. The colors are lovely, and all are at least as nice as the listing showed, with some colors actually being prettier in real life than expected. The d12 and d20 are a bit smaller than I was expecting, but I think that is a function of my unfamiliarity with standard dice of that type--I am pretty new to D&D and the only dice set I had previously used was a cheap one from China where the two biggest were way too big. These are in good proportion with the d6, which is a standard d6 size. Each set comes in its own little baggie inside the red drawstring bag, so you can choose whether you want to throw them all in together or keep them separate. And the bag itself is made from a nice material that is thin enough to have good drape. (It will not stand on its own, so if you're looking for that you'll need a different bag.) All in all I am definitely happy with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone who likes to collect polyhedral dice... The themed customer service emails are a fun touch, too. :)

I'm overall satisfied with this purchase.CONS:Several of the dice are hard to read due to missing paint on the engraved numbers. Haven't exactly carefully inspected all of them, but noticed quite a few where up to half the number wasn't painted. I guess I could try to fill in the flaws with a sharpy for black and white out for white and just hope I don't find any messed up gold ones.PROS:You do, otherwise, get a lot for your money, especially with free shipping. You don't get all you're favorite colors, but if you like enough of them it can easily be worth your money as buying dice in smaller sets can get pricey.The bag is nicer and bigger than I expected, taller really. It can easily hold around 50 sets of dice of standard size and seems sturdy enough too. The cloth could be thicker, but it is a nice velvety material.
