Generic tool; longer than most
This grabber has a fairly typical plunger-driven spreading 4-claw functional design, but is longer than most and has a plastic jacket on the coil cable. I guess the jacket keeps liquids from penetrating the cable from the sides, but they can still get in at the end, so perhaps the jacket is more for avoiding the coils snagging on the edges of whatever the grabber is being inserted into. One unusual and interesting characteristic is a sort of "snap action" of the claws when they fully open. This "snap" (usually) can be felt at the handle end, so it confirms whether the plunger has been pushed in far enough to fully open the claws - which is helpful when the claw end is out of sight. This avoids grab failures due to unopened claws. However, the "snap" is not as noticeable when the claws close. While the long length is useful for "deep grabs", it also makes the tool a bit unmanageable when doing shallower grabs... and, like most such tools, the only way to guide the claw end is via pushing and/or turning the cable - so dealing with excess length makes control rather difficult. (I guess it's best to have a cable length just a bit longer than the necessary reach - so it may be good to have several grabbers of different lengths). The only (minor) issues with mine is some molding "flash" at the parting line on the T-handle and around the rim of the plunger button (This has to be removed/smoothed to avoid possible skin cuts), and for some reason, the plunger section is a bit canted where it's crimped onto the cable. (This isn't a functional problem; it just looks weird. I suppose that it could help a bit for turning the whole assembly while guiding it into a tight space - so perhaps the cant is intentional). In any case, the tool works well, and appears to be good quality.

It unlocked my Honda Odyssey
I installed a battery disconnect on my Honda Odyssey because of an uncorrected parasitic load that resulted too often in a dead battery. And the key has never worked in the door. But I always left the car unlocked when I disconnected the battery. Until last week. The door was locked. I worked for hours without success. Then I watched YouTube videos. Eventually I realized that a grabber like this might work. Wonderfully, it did. The diameter is large for my needs but in the end I got the lock pulled up and I got into the vehicle. Next time I will leave the window down an inch when I disconnect the battery.

It does its job but there are a couple of things that could be improved on.
This is a pretty basic tool so there isn't a lot that can be said about it. It has a strong grip which will take care of just about anything you would normally use this on.Not a bad pick up claw. The two main issues I found were:1.) The way they package this and send it out makes a couple of bends in the product that don't come back out. This doesn't really affect the use of the product but it kind of gives you that feel of "I just paid for a new tool and feel like I received a garage sale special".2.) The end of this pick up claw is coiled metal. A good pick up claw will have a solid smooth metal tube attached at the end to make the claw move in and out more smoothly. Because this is coiled metal at the end, it adds a decent amount of resistance. If this is a big deal to you... you may want to find another pick up claw.

Very hard to squeeze grabber!
This was not easy to use. The grabber handle is very difficult to squeeze. Maybe it will loosen up with use. Time will tell.

Best $10 I ever spent
My bathtub recently started pooling water. When I removed the cover plate to the drain switch I realized that the rod had broken off, leaving the stopper blocking the pipe. When I spoke with a plumber he said that he would need to cut a hole in my wall to access the back of the bathtub to clear the drain. Instead, I ordered this nifty gadget. I stuck it down the hole where the cover plate had been and after about 10 minutes I was able to hook the rod and pull out both the rod and the stopper, clearing my drain, thereby saving me hundreds of dollars on plumbing costs and a big hole in my wall, which I would have been left to repair. This is a FANTASTIC product. I’m so glad that I bought it and I’m sure it will come in handy again in the future. 5 stars for sure!

WOW!
This Flexible Grabber Claw is EXCELLENT! We have a toilet that frequently plugs up and I've finally found the magic touch! We've tried everything recommended throughout Google, to no avail this time. It was completely plugged. Nothing would go down, so I finally decided to try this tool after researching other options on Amazon. IT WORKED PERFECTLY, 100%!!! If you're in need of clogged toilet help, you've found the best tool right here. Highly recommend!

Check the width of your plug
The 0.5in end won't fit down a normal click clack plug hole.

Awesome product!
Recently bought this grabber to fish out toys that my son had thrown down the air vents. Took some patience and wiggling around but everything worked as expected. The claw itself was very handy!
