When you open Nardine Sanderson's book of poetry, "Bare Winter And The Longings For Spring," what you first encounter is a grainy, black and white photograph depicting the author's Grandfather, young and vibrant, strolling with his beloved, hand in hand~~the words above this photo: This is only the beginning, for the poet, there is no end." What follows from here, upon each page, Seasonally given, makes the subtitle on the cover (Inspirationa; Poetry) all more enticing for the reader. The themes of love, loss, and renewal are given a special place. I could say so much, and I'm sure you, dear readers, will find comfort in Nardine's words. She is an example of a Poet with a tremendous message of love and forgiveness for us all. As a poet and writer, I know a good book when I read it. No more needs to be said.
