Bad solar charge time
It takes this little thing forever to take a charge for sun light, not a couple of hours, like a whole day worth of charnging to get any amount of charge in the thing. It reeally needs to be charged by its USB port for any real useage. other than the fact that solar charging is useless of every day activities it is OK, but it is only OK. I am very happy i got it on sale for $10. Not $50. It is not worth that much money at all. Also i have had it for a bit now, im adding on to this review, The cord is bad. It does not connect to the divices i try and charge, yes i have the right tip, i mean it goes in but wont charge them.

Takes a LOT of sun to charge!!
This is a great little charger -- especially if you charge it through the USB cable that is provided. However, the solar charging is slow and requires a great deal of light. I'm in Wisconsin, and in the winter you can pretty much give up on the solar charging. I guess if you live in Florida, then you probably could rely more on the solar aspects of this device. Nonetheless, however it is charged, it does hold the charge and is sufficient to recharge about 2/3 of my battery in my HTC Evo4G. All in all it is worth the price...

worthless crap
I was new at shopping on Amazon when I bought this crap. Learned how valuable the reviews are later. There is not a good review on this item. It is crap. It will not work with the number of devices claimed because it does not come with the interchangeable tips, basically they lie. I went to the website that the instructions directed. They lied again, I could not find the tips there. I would stay from any product this company sells. Additionally I would avoid the sellers as well because the bottom line is people know when they are selling you crap. If they continue to sell crap then they are in the same category as the crap they sell.Instead, the APALLO 23-1200mAh Solar Charger comes with the tips as advertised. I am happy with this device. As a backpacker and hiker this is a great addition to the larger panels I use for my laptop and Kindle Fire. I use the smaller to keep camera or phone charged.

If I could have given it no stars I would have
I couldnt even find the attachment part to allow it to charge anything. So basically I got a useless piece of plastic with a solar panel on it.

Stop! Go no further. Stay far away from this product & vendor.
Incredibly poor quality & barely holds a charge even when attached to USB port. Customer service is beyond indifferent, actually dismissive.

Don't buy this or any Solio products for that matter
I haven't had this for long so I can't say much about how well this thing works/doesn't but mostly because you need to buy these separate iGO power tips to be able to charge Anything... (even though it is slightly my fault, should've read the description closer) because of this I do not recommend buying this, even at the low cost of $10 or less, I personally had reasonable expectations with this, to only charge up stuff a little bit/charging itself from sunlight very slowly, fine.. but I don't agree with having to buy the tips separately at all... if only there was a universally accepted connector that will work with almost everything, such as USB...Now I wouldn't have as much of a problem with this, if those tips (at least one or two of em) were included or only cost about $1 but no, they usually cost over $5 for EACH tip, so that will add up real fast if you want more than one tip, so basically they seem to scam you out of money by selling you a cheap somewhat functional device so that you can either toss it when you get it or go ahead and buy the tips you need as well... Please don't buy, instead just get a decent portable power bank and a good solar panel to hang in your window (or wherever) and you'll have a much better experience.update, I've tried this out a bit and have been charging it using a 7W foldable solar panel and it works alright although the supposedly 1,000mah battery in this thing is closer to about 500-600mah, I can only charge my phone with a 2100mah battery up to about 25% or so from a full charge, so its a bit handy if you're ever running low and need a boost but don't count on it doubling your usage or anything.
