Premier Horticulture 0128P 2.2Cu Ft Sphag Peat Moss

Exactly what I expected, if not more. I mixed it with some perlite and garden-tone, and after a few days I already have beautiful, healthy seedlings coming up. It expands a lot more than I expected, so this casual gardener will have plenty left for next year’s seedlings. I got some twigs but enjoyed sitting and pulling them out. The smell was quite nice. I also wanted to address a previous reviewer who insinuated that the cost here is much too high. I ordered this at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in the United States, and am unwilling to go into a crowded home improvement store. Some are simply unable to even in normal times. Although the shipping was listed as “free” it really never is. I received a package weighing 36 pounds or more, with dimensions exceeding 50”. As someone who ships packages regularly myself, I view the price that I paid as a bargain. I doubt the seller made as much of a profit on this as you would like to think.

I used the peat to cover a seeded area of new lawn. It works great to hid seed from pigeons. I already have grass sprouts after a week. I don't have Pic but it's a really nice way to start a lawn. Peaceful and it's a easy way to make a beautiful back yard. 😉

Anytime I overseed or seed a lawn, I always use this brand of Peat Moss. Hasn't felled me yet and very helpful for people to water their seeds without drowning them.

I mean It's a great product don't get me wrong. But since I am using em for most of my worm bins/farm, I always have screen out sticks and other large debris with my screen sifter. So I gave it a 4 star rating just to be fair.

I’m looking to lower PH. I have industrial ph soil checker. Peat so internet says is 3-4 PH. This brand is lowest PH I have found and it is right at 6??? I have checked 4 brands so far and miracle grow highest at 6.3 which makes sense it’s juiced. Where’s the 4 PH…….

The sphagnum moss material came clean and dry. The soft and loose consistency was superior to other bedding material that I have used. The plants seem to like it, too. I will definitely buy a lot more.

Excellent product specially for acid loving plants such blueberries, strawberry, citrus, gardenias etc. And you get 3cu ft so great value for your money. Well package and prompt delivery. I give 5 stars hands down.

I thought the price reflected a good quality peat moss product. This does not perform to spread out and hold moisture. This product looks more like ground wood and sawdust. I got several slivers spreading this product out.
