Clear audio
I have this paired with an SDS200. The audio is clearer than the stock speaker on the SDS200, but boy let me tell you this thing is quiet. I have the SDS200 cranked up to volume 30, but it is still the equivalent of about volume 12 from the stock speaker. So in short, you get clearer audio, but it is quiet.Update: I changed my reviews to 5 stars. My mistake was using the front headphone jack on the SDS200. When I plugged this into the external speaker jack on the back of the SDS200, it is much louder.

Value, Great Sound
I'm using this speaker with my Icom 7300 at home. Compared to most external speakers for the ham radio market, this is a steal. It sounds fantastic compared to the built in speaker. I think it would be a good upgrade for most radios. It's a little big to use in a car but would probably be fine in a truck or semi. It's very loud.

Ok I guess
Sounds nice. Requires a lot more volume than I expected. When I unplug this speaker the radio speaker is blasting. That's not a problem if its installed permanently, but I use it as a temporary speaker. The similar but smaller speaker might have worked better.

This is not a powered speaker
This speaker sounds good, but be advised, it is NOT a powered speaker as the 20 Watt rating might imply. Uniden knows this speaker will normally be used on a scanner or other table top radio that usually only drives the audio at 3 or 4 watts max. This is a good speaker but it is not a powered speaker.

Bearcat 20 external speaker
Have it mated with my bearcat sds200. Very please with this speaker. Great sound and clarity. Noise damping works as advertised. Would buy again.

Missing Parts
Mounting bolts were missing. Now I have to make a trip to the hardware store. My dash is all torn apart and I need to get my Jeep back on the road a.s.a.p. Found the size on a forum. Supposed to be 5mm.
