Caron Cakes Self Striping Yarn 1 Ball Rainbow Sherbet 7.1 ounces

My daughter picked this color. At first I was like are you sure! Well she added the purple and it’s so pretty! It’s all the vivid colors minus the purple because that’s a different brand. We wanted you to visually see all the colors by themself. I must add it’s a very warm yarn! As I sit here at night with the blanket on my legs it keeps them nice and warm!

I use this yarn primarily for crochet scarves. The colors are all beautiful and unusual. I highly recommend this for #4 weight yarn for crocheting; I have not tried it with knitting, but I believe it would be equally good for that, too.

The single ball of Caron Cakes "Rainbow Sherbet" that I ordered to complete my project arrived with no label band on it or even in the box - just the ball of yarn. There were streaks of color on the strands of yarn (raspberry pink streaks on the aqua strands etc.) through out most of the ball of yarn. It's very noticeable. I don't mind the look, but the rest of my project is not like that (each solid color is solid with no streaks- just a few flecks once in a while). Have ordered two more balls of the same color to try to finish up this project. Hope they are not "seconds" with no label. That's what I suspect I got. Something that Quality Control disguarded. The yarn itself is beautiful and smooth to work with. Will see if the next 2 balls of this yarn are better quality.

Wonderful product. Just wish there was more colors oin stock and to buy at one time.

Good quality...to expensive. At Michael's the same one is a lot cheaper.

Definitely appears to be seconds quality. The colors are muted compared to the same product bough in store and the yarn is very stripey throughout.

When I ordered my first 2 cakes I was very happy with it. The colours were vibrant and the wool did not irritate my skin when crocheting. As I needed another 2 cakes to finish off my cocoon cardigan, which was now a lovely rainbow square, I clicked "buy it again". I was aware that there may be a slight colour difference but when I received the cakes I was very disappointed. The colours were almost completely different. What was dark blue in my first 2 cakes, was now light blue. The light blue from my first 2 cakes, is now a very very light blue with coloured sprinkles. The lovely mustard colour from the first 2 cakes is now a bright orange... I tried to add it to the cardigan in the hope it did not look as bad... Unfortunately it looked worse. I am very disappointed as I was looking forward to finishing my vibrant rainbow square cardigan. Now I guess I'll have to hunt down some matching wool elsewhere.

Although these Caron cakes were same colour and same batch number very few of the colours matched from ball to ball. I use Caron cakes a lot and this has never happened before. I won’t be purchasing from this seller again. I don’t believe these are the real deal.

This is a lovely wool to work and is very soft too. I have made squares from two of the 200g, made three large squares to date, and sewn them together. Going to sew up another four cakes to make a giant single blanket which is so warm with just 20 percent wool in it, you really warm up very quickly wrapped around you.

Good quality

I liked this yarn very much I bought it because I already had two and was making a mermaid tail for my granddaughter.
