No spare padding included. Just trying to figure out myself what the best thing to use is as definitely needs something extra. I tried ordering one off amazon that was meant to fit with it but it's too stiff so doesn't add any comfort.

Hi Simon yes probably better to take it off when sitting, but you can keep it on,just be careful how you sit.The strap behind the knee doesn’t want to be overtight ,as it cuts my circulation.
