(Important:Hammer straight down, not at an angle) Tool worked great for removing a fan on my 2007 f150. I needed to change out the radiator and decided to get this over the two wrench setup. I was using a 6 gal craftsman jobsite air compressor and the cheapest air hammer harbor freight offered. Sprayed a little pb blaster on the nut and bam, the fan got loose after a couple hits, super easy. My air compressor didnt need to recharge and the tool stayed in place. Definitely keeping it and comes in a nice sized case. Tool seemed to be good quality. Idk how you could break it unless you were hammering at an angle and not straight down.

Worked great on 2016 F250. I may have had to remove some paint to get it to engage in the air hammer chuck. A fine tool for DIY but daily use would probably break it as other reviews have noted. Up to you to decide whether you want to spend a lot on a tool that will last for a long time or a little on a tool that will last a short time.

If you have ever wanted a simpler and quick way to remove a fan clutch without damaging it, this is your tool. Very simple but not as cheap as I expected it to be from a quality standpoint. The only issue was actually a positive thing which is the powder coating was to thick to slid into my IR pneumatic hammer. This is definitely not a complaint! 2 minutes to sand away a small amount of powder coating was worth the 45 seconds to break loose the fan clutch. Definitely recommend. First use was 2003 LB7 Duramax fan clutch.

I purchased this BETOOLL pneumatic fan clutch wrench kit to remove a clutch fan, but unfortunately it failed before completing the job. First, the shaft would not fit into any of the multiple air hammers I tried. There was enough paint/coating on the shaft that I actually had to sand it down before I could get it to fit properly. After finally getting it into the air hammer, I attempted to remove the clutch fan. The tool was unable to break the fan loose, and during use the pin that the wrench attachment rides on broke completely out of the shaft. At that point the tool was unusable. I understand that stubborn fan clutches can require quite a bit of force, but this is exactly the type of work this tool is advertised for. I expected the tool to withstand normal use without breaking. Amazon issued me a full refund, so I have no complaints about how Amazon handled the return. My 1-star rating is based strictly on the fit, durability, and performance of the tool. I needed the 47 MM piece for my 6.4L powerstroke fan clutch, and this kit had it. The local stores don't carry that size, unfortunately. The design is very helpful in allowing you to get it down where you need it without it falling apart too. It was a 'must have' for me, and I'm happy with the price I paid. Nice kit, decent blow mold container.

I have a 2004.5 GMC Sierra Duramax. I have a shade tree mechanic that is quite good. We bought a special 1 7/8 inch wrench from O'reilly's for almost $50 to knock the fan clutch nut loose. Autozone had nothing. I watched all sorts of videos of how to stop the water pump from turning. He tried everything he would imagine and none of the special tricks worked. I finally saw a video on this tool and ordered it. I tried to put it in my hand chisel impact gun but it was too big by a couple of thousandths. I took a fiber abrasive wheel on an angle grinder and removed all the paint from the end that goes into the gun and had a perfect fit. I put it on the fan clutch nut and pulled the trigger with nothing to hold the water pump from turning but the serpentine belt. In less than 5 seconds the very stubborn nut was free. I was totally amazed. I saw reviews showing the impact shaft damaged. To me it is well built and I cannot understand how to break it when using it as it is designed to work. I saw one review where the fork end came off. That would not be a problem for a welder with a wire feed to put it back on even stronger. I simply cannot figure out a way to break it using it as it is designed to be used. If not for the paint issue, I would happily give it 10 stars.

Barely worked. I’ve been putting this tool off for years and can’t bring myself to pay $350 off the tool truck. I know you can just use a chisel tip on an air hammer to get them loose but I’m not a hack. Needed it for a range rover and after 15mins it finally broke free. It fits very loose in my snapon air hammer and the metal on the wrench side was folding over. Can’t complain to much for a tool that I’ll probably use once every 10 years.

First it wouldn't fit into my air hammer, had to buff off the paint because it was too thick. Then I tried for 2 hours trying to loosen the fan with no luck! Ended up using a chisel on the air hammer and had the fan off in 20 seconds!

Have used this product multiple times. Only complaint is that the end of the rod came off. I just taped it back on with electrical tape and still use it all the time. Was probably my fault for pulling the trigger with it not pushed into the wrench. It’s kind of like the bbq tongs, how you always snip them when you grab them. I think as long as you don’t do what I did, you should be good! I work for General Motors and this works well with all the duramax fans and 6.6 gas engine fans. We ordered one for the shop and it’s been holding up great! Makes really quick work of taking off or installing the fan clutch back on!
