OrolayWomen's Winter Down Jacket with Faux Fur Trim Hood

This coat is surprisingly beautiful!! I am 5’9” 125 lbs, and I got a medium. The hourglass shape is so flattering. The material is high quality, and it feels amazing. AND, it doesn’t make noise when you move!! 👍🏼 My requirements for a winter coat are a hood, a zipper, and deep pockets that are quick to access. This coat is a steal!!!

Flattering to short girls as it’s not too long. Warm and comfortable.

I was headed to NYC the week after Christmas and knew it was supposed to be one of the coldest stretches ever (15 degrees + windchill) so I ordered this coat to keep me warm since we were going to be doing a lot of walking outside. It was delivered exactly when promised so I had it in time for our trip. The coat fit great (I'm 5'5" and weigh 124 and size medium fit perfectly - with a shirt & sweater underneath). It was nice and long too (reached the top of my legs) so it kept me really warm. It was really comfortable and never felt or looked bulky or cumbersome. The zipper goes up nice and high so my neck was warm (although I did wear a scarf so that helped too)! The hood was great -- just wish there was a button or snap that connected the two sides of the hood under the neck to keep it more securely in place in the wind. I did have a ribbed hat on underneath because of the extreme cold and the hood stayed up fine even over that. The one problem I had with this coat (and it was a big one) was the zipper (but make sure you read this review until the end regarding this problem.) I had the most difficult time zipping it up and constantly needed help in getting it zipped. The two zipper pieces at the bottom of the coat that need to click into place in order to zip wouldn't easily click - maybe because it was a cheap plastic zipper or maybe because it was defective, I don't know. I felt like a 4-year old needing an adult's help to zip it up. It was really frustrating to be leaving our hotel or a restaurant and not be able to zip up my own coat. Even my husband and kids had trouble making it work. After 7 or 8 tries we'd eventually get it work, but I was really bummed that this coat that I absolutely LOVED would have to be returned because I couldn't zip it up without help! I liked the coat so much that I almost was willing to put up with the bad zipper, but I just couldn't justify keeping a brand new coat that was already "broken." When I returned home, I sadly went on Amazon and put in a return request and explained what the problem was with that awful zipper. However, since returns (and even shipping) are free, I decided to order another coat in the hopes that maybe I just got a lemon. Well, much to my delight, the replacement coat now had a metal zipper that worked totally fine! Absolutely no trouble whatsoever zipping it up or down so now the coat is perfect. So happy I re-odered it and so happy they replaced the zipper with a metal one (and did not increase the price). I highly recommend this coat, but just make sure the coat you order has that metal zipper! Hopefully this is now the case on all the coats, but just giving you a heads-up about my experience. Also, my second coat did have a little bit of an odd smell when I first received it, but it is definitely disappearing as time goes on.

I normally wear a size small in clothing. I decided to get this coat in medium so I could wear thick sweaters with it. But it’s much too big. I am not exaggerating when I say this coat swallowed me. I could’ve worn three layers underneath. The biggest disappointment is that it’s not nearly as fitted around the waist as the description and pictures make it seem. The cinched waist was the reason I chose this coat! But in real life, it hangs on your body like a sack. It doesn’t even have a drawstring for you to make the waist tighter.There are no big flaws with the coat. It looks fine. The price was fine. It’s a good length and seems quite warm. If I absolutely needed a coat, I might’ve exchanged for a smaller size. But this company also doesn’t offer Amazon Prime shipping. I had to pay a separate charge for shipping. I’m returning this and the shipping charge is not included in my refund.Speaking of shipping, I’m very pleased with how fast this was delivered to me. The estimated ship date was anywhere between 2-4 weeks. Instead I got it in 4 days. Not bad at all. Especially during the holiday season.

The first one arrived damaged (fur on the hood was missing the buttons to attach it) but I returned for another and it arrived quickly! The fit is perfect for me. I ordered a large tho cause my measurements were just max for medium on bust. Glad I did to have room to wear layers underneath. It’s super warm and like wearing a stuffed pillow! When I sit down, the air puffs out of it! lol ~ but it still has a nice silhouette and hood is charming! ~ the arms have inner cuffs to keep snow and cold air out, and warmth in! Waiting for below zero to test but so far wore it at 32* and was almost sweating! (So may not need to layer in a coat like this!) the outer fabric is really durable and water resistant. Very happy with it so far.

Awesome jacket, huge hood, very flattering. Received lots of compliments. Pockets are big enough to accommodate even the largest passport-style wallets, keys, cellphone etc. Very warm and the hood is the best I’ve ever had that actually protects me from the wind. I decided to size down on a whim and I’m so glad I did, it fits me perfectly through the waist and hips, but has sufficient room throughout the bust to be surprisingly comfortable. Which is saying something considering that I carry most of my bulk in my chest area. I’ve recommended this brand to friends and family. Also worth stating, returns are incredibly easy with this company— I bought another style jacket from them last fall and I looked like a huge caterpillar and had to return it. No hassle, just initiated the return, took the item back to UPS and had my refund within an hour.Edit: I’ve worn this jacket consistently for a few weeks now and have one qualm with the hood. It KILLS your peripheral vision. So if you’re walking in a congested area on windy days, or have earbuds in please exercise caution— You definitely won’t see that car coming in the parking lot and urban areas. You have to turn your whole body to look both ways, which can be a little awkward.

For the price felt thin and the fur around the hood looked cheap, fit was snug and wouldn’t have got a jumper on even though I bought a size up from my usual size, returned and bought another brand which is better quality, and warmer, so save your money.

Excellent excellent excellent, as you can tell i am extremely happy with this jacket. Looks good feels good fits well and my partner is happy. Have very merry Christmas!P.S one small area of improvement would be a hood adjuster.

First off this jacket arrived on time and in good enough package; after that everything falls apart.Size ordered was small, we recieved xxl immediately asked for a return. Then upon further inspection the jacket seemed different from the photos and description on the product page, so I went into detail to see how much different, the thing that they sent me is something else and not the jacket in the product page. The cut and style that you see in the description and top photos its not what we recieved, it is something else all around the style features and pattern its not there, the buttons on the front pockets and sides are also not there, the shape of the hood its strange and small, plus to top it all off the faux fur its horrendous, nothing even remotely similar to .. again the photos and product page. I read a review of the jacket from orolay in another site, the fill and insulation plus the texture shown on the fabric its something else that does not relate in any form to what I was sent, this is just a cheap thin jacket that wont hold even the nicest of fall seasons.Included photos of the recieved product so you can ascertain for yourselves. Do yourself a favor dont order this.

Effectively keeps warm. I'm confident wearing it as a pretty puffer coat. Better without the faux fur. As for slimming... not so sure. The cut is not more shapely/flared/A line than any other mid length puffer. Being pear shaped, I still looked like a barrel.
