Highly enjoyable nostalgia
Very much enjoyed this magazine with a refreshing and different format to what I'd normally expect. The passion and genuine enthusiasm of the writing team shines through and there is a good variety of movies and genres covered.Obviously published on a limited budget so don't expect tons of large glossy, colour photographs although there is a good collection and the reviews I've seen which complain about the lack of images and poor quality are incorrect.Brought back happy nostalgic memories of classic movies in the 1970s and I hope to purchase more issues in future.Would be great if some of the top movies from the 1960s could be covered too. Perhaps this could be a second project for the team if this one proves to be successful?I was tempted to give this a 5 star review, but it just falls slightly short. But still highly recommended and this would make a fine addition to your collection and guarantee many hours of happy reading and reminiscing about the glory days of cinema.

Stuffed with 70s goodness!
It’s not surprising that Cornelius looks so shocked on the cover of “Cinema of the 70s” issue 4…he’s probably just clocked the contents! This issue is veritably stuffed with intelligent articles on 70s cinema, including excellent overviews on the Planet of the Apes films from that decade, the Carry On films in the 70s and movies such as The Deep, The Hunting Party and Joe Kidd. Special mention for the article on police detectives in Seventies films like Deathline and The Wicker Man which examines the characters and the actors who played them.Always an absorbing read, “Cinema of the 70s” is one of the best movie mags out there.
