Spicy AND good
This is not just an outrageously spicy novelty sauce. This is very spicy, and actually has an excellent flavor. My son bought it for my husband for Father’s Day and he eats it on pretty much anything. He really enjoyed very spicy foods

Really enjoying this hot sauce, but I am a little puzzled
I only discovered Dandido hot sauces via the VINE program, when this "Black Extreme Hot Sauce" was offered for review. Our family really enjoys trying such sauces and we have a range of heat-tolerant tastes among us, so it's a fun process.Like other reviewers, I was impressed with the thick consistency. We've got other hot sauces in the 'fridge that pour over foods like water. This stands up nicely.I'm assuming the "extreme" referenced in this particular brand comes from the Scotch Bonnet and Habanero peppers in this blend. Both are generally above 100,000 on the Scoville scale, some are quite a bit hotter. But this, then, leads to my confusion. The product page in Amazon clearly says the hotness comes from "Carolina Reaper" peppers. However, take a look at the ingredients label (there's a photo at the top of the page). No Carolina Reapers! So, which is it? The Carolina Reaper tops out well above 1 million on the Scoville scale. My own suspicion is that the product page text was written for some other brand in the Dandido line of products but is also somehow appearing on this brand's page. My other reason for saying this is: In our family, we only have 2 family members who can "take" Carolina Reaper hot sauces and claim they enjoy them. In this case, a larger number of us really enjoy the sauce and the level of heat.In other words, I don't think this is as "extreme" as the label may suggest. And, for us, that's a good thing.

Just plain ol good
Flavor is delicious. Burn isn't out of this world painful but it does stay with you. Very thick more like a puree than a sauce.

Paste not sauce.
It’s hot and it tastes good, I just can’t put it on anything. It doesn’t pour, it comes out in pasty blobs. It’s not exactly a liquid.

came broken
smelled great inside the box with broken glass, and I was tempted to try and salvage some of the sauce.

Very hot and chunky consistency.
If you want a hot pepper burn then this will deliver. It's too hot for me and doesn't offer enough flavor to be enjoyable. This Dandido Black uses tomato paste and has a thick chunky texture, not a runny consistency like I expected from a hot sauce. If you want peppery heat then this might be good for you. But for me it's too much heat, not flavorful, and the consistency is too thick.

Tasty Tomato Forward With Lingering Heat
I chase the heat and am on the lookout for a flavorful hot sauce that packs some punch. Dandido Black fits the bill. I will start off by saying that it wasn't quite as hot I was expecting. It would likely be a 9 or 10 for those unaccustomed to really spicy food, but for me it ranks somewhere in the 4 to 6 range. I can eat a lot of it without having to take a time out, which is a good thing. It the does build the more you eat though, and it lingers on the tongue - a pleasant burn that compliments the ingredients.Unsurprisingly, I found the tomato paste to be the dominating flavor. That isn't surprising since it is the 3rd ingredient after red wine vinegar and celery IQF. That said, it isn't overbearing, and is plays well with the other ingredients. There are are 6 hot peppers in this blend with Carolina Reaper being at the bottom of the is. It still make it's presence know, but I definitely detect primary Scotch Bonnets and Habaneros. It also isn't too vinegary. I could tell that Dandido put a lot of time crafting this mix and everything works well together. It is also no sodium and very low sugar. This super thick sauce can be a challenge to get out of the bottle, but the effort is worth it. It works well paired with the usual suspects, but it is also yummy on burgers, fries, egg, rice, ...and even pasta (when mixed with red sauce). My wife has a lower tolerance for heat than I do and enjoys it as well -- in limited quantities. Highly recommended and very giftable with the ominous black label and cute mini-bandana.Made fresh and bottle in the USA. Refrigerate after opening.~ Kort
