The criteria consumers should be applying is not where it’s made but is it counterfeit. The majority of approved masks are still made in China although several approved USA manufacturers do exist. Genuine CDC approved masks do not have ear loops, they have headbands and are NIOSH approved. The NIOSH approval will be marked on the box and also on the mask along with the number.

How long can the masks be worn before thrown away?

I know different people handle this differently, but what I can say is that these masks are sturdy and well-made. By that I mean you can wear them under normal circumstances at least several times in a row and they will still look and feel new, in my experience. As a matter of fact it has broken my heart :-) to throw one away after only one or two uses because I felt I was in a particularly contagious environment at the time, and just have a policy of throwing any mask away after that kind of exposure.

Are this fake or real

They are most definitely real. During the omicron surge in NYC I was surrounded by family and friends that tested positive and while I'm vaccinated and boosted I wore this mask under my cloth mask and tested negative every time both before and after interacting with them. I wore my mask while they were maskless talking to me and giving me hugs. This mask spared me from transmission.
