Replacing well spike10’ down. pump at ground level (honda wb). should i put a check valve down at spike, or would driving kill it?

If your replacing your foot valve at the very end of the line there is no need for an additional check valve

where should the check valve be installed. just above the pump?

Yes use a 11/4 " nipple and install right on top of the pump. That's what I did and it works fine

That's what I use it for. As long as your head isn't too much it works fine. Sometimes it takes a little vigorous pumping as the "seat" in the check valve tends to stick. I have seen other vertical check valves that don't use a spring on the poppet. One like that might be better but for my use, well pipe is only about ten feet, it works fine.

Can the check valve be installed on the suction pipe of a two pipe deep well pump.? Of course aiming the arrow towards the pump.

Yes but if you have a foot valve installed you don’t need the additional check valve.

It's a check valve. It checks...

This is a basic item. Although advertised as "lead free" - item comes with Prop 65 sticker. When I called, agent said it's "lead free" but that they must put the sticker on... All good - fixed my Hallmark submersible that for some reason has a "weep hole" drilled in its built in check valve...
