Datu Puti White Vinegar Spiced, Sukang Maasim, 25.36 Fl Oz (100896)

I’m giving this 5 stars just so I don’t mess up their ratings and since this is my first experience with this type of vinegar, so I can’t really say whether it is a good example of its kind. I bought this to make a recipe from the Fat Rice cookbook & didn’t want to haul all over town looking for it. It arrived intact and not leaking. To me, the flavor was similar to apple cider vinegar, so I think I’ll just substitute that when this bottle runs out, since that is easily available and far cheaper.

great addition to meals

This was a staple in my home growing up. Excellent for dipping meats in. I went to 4 different Asian markets, not one had the spiced, and 1 had the regular vinegar. I needed this for a gift to a friends mom. I normally pay about $12 tops, for it when available, but justified the $20 price, because it was a gift, and the availability was limited in my area. I would buy this again, as a gift, but have opted to make my own; using the un-spiced version.

Bottle came in with seal broken and has some leaking out of the bottle

I tore the plastic surrounding the cap of the bottle and found the cap to be cracked.

Cap was leaking when I recieved.
