Is it suitable for long hair and waist length hair

Some buyers have responded that the old hair towel is not long enough, we have upgraded the hair towel, the length is increased by 3.8 inches on the basis of the old one, so now the hair towel is perfect for long hair, you don't need to worry about that.

Anyone use this to cover your shoulders so that the styling products don't get on your skin?

I don’t think it would work. It’s shaped like a cap with a long tail. Not sure you could drape it over your shoulders. It’s a great hair turban though!
