Why wait? Pull the plug on cable and enjoy TV for free with this simple yet effective antenna.
My last experience with an antenna was a big, clunky thing you had to climb up on the roof to attach! However, after paying more and more for cable and getting less and less, I finally decided to pull the plug. When this thin, flexible thing showed up in my mailbox, I was skeptical. A few pieces of double-stick tape attached it to a window (no climbing ladders for this 75-year-old), and I just plugged it into the TV. I needed a little help from a friend to figure out how to download the channels, then I was all set! Plenty of channels right off the airwaves, and I'm saving $100 a month! I can get local news, and there are plenty of channels to choose from--even more than I had with cable! Try it! I'm sorry I waited so long

Outstanding
After reading the reviews, I chose RG because they were predominantly good reviews. I'm here to tell you that I'm another satisfied customer. The antenna is well constructed, and the push-on type F-connectors (as opposed to the traditional screw-on type) are solid and fit snugly, and are much easier to connect and disconnect. The antenna itself has a nice appearance and isn't too "ugly" or out of place for my tastes. The stand for the antenna is solid, and makes the antenna easy to place on a shelf. Initially, I admit that I wasn't impressed because the performance was no better than a similar, much cheaper antenna that I had bought previously. Channels still came in weak and broken, despite being less than twenty air miles from the majority of the TV transmitters for our area. I communicated this to RG's technical support staff. They were very prompt and responsive, and suggested that I try different configurations. When those didn't work any better, RG offered to send me a signal amplifier, free of charge. When it arrived, there was a profound difference. Every channel showed 4-5 on the TV's signal strength meter. Based on some uneven terrain between the broadcast sites and my house, the antenna just needed a boost from the amplifier. And this amplifier actually works, unlike the one that came with my cheaper antenna. Overall, RG makes a very good product, and their technical support was fantastic. They really did a stand-up job and I thank them for saving me the time and expense of having to install an outside antenna. THANK YOU!

I could not detect that it worked at all. A straight piece of wire worked better.
Did not work.

Great antenna that really does pick up VHF and UHF signals!
When recently on vacation we came across a channel called Antenna TV which airs classic shows such as Sanford and Son, Good Times, Three's Company and shows I grew up on. After looking online found out the channel is available in my area but on a VHF broadcast signal. Bought 3 name brand antennas and couldn't get any of them to pick this channel up. Upon further research apparently it was because of the VHF signal, the other antennas picked up UHF signals with no problems. Found this antenna and bought it since it said it would pick up UHF and VHF signals. Sure enough, I now get Antenna TV crystal clear. And it sits right by a window unit air conditioner with no interference at all. Loved it so much that I bought another one for the TV in the bedroom. Well worth the price.

Do You Really Need to Pay for TV?
After many issues with a former satellite service provider and before trying to determine which other satellite company, if any, to use next. I purchased the RG Tech antenna. The reception is very, very good. For esthetic reasons I did not attach it to a window but I placed it on the stand directly beneath the TV. Of course, the major cable/satellite stations are not available but after scanning in and picking up 59 channels, I really do not see a need to rush to judgment for another service provider. All of the channels that I can pick up are crystal clear with only a tiny amount of freezing with one local channel. Set up cannot be any easier, find the in antenna jack, plug in, scan and you are done. The RG Tech Monarch was just what I needed. Something unheard of in today's world, FREE TV.

Pleased Monarch 50 user in STL.
This is replacing an older TERK-TV Amplified antenna that no matter where I placed it, or adjusted the amplifier, some channels would become very pixelated at the slightest breeze. The new Monarch 50, once I found the "sweet-spot" on top of our entertainment center, has been great pulling in all of the channels I received with the TERK without all of the pixelation. It has made watching the free over-the-air channels a lot better. We no longer have to jump up and adjust the antenna to get different channels. Really like that it came with a stand as I had to locate the antenna at an angle to the walls. If I had just mounted it directly to the wall, it would not have performed as well. Mounting it to a window as most antennae makers recommend was not an option in my house but it still performs great.

Expected better
I previously purchased chased the 60 edition which is an FM antenna I use for one of my stereo receivers and was pleased with the results. I thought this might work with a TV I had in another room. It was moderately successful in picking up some channels on one TV but none on another I really wanted to use it on. It could be my reception in that room but it did not serve the expected purpose and was returned.
