Purity Foods Vita - Spelt Non-GMO White Unbleached Spelt Flour, 25 lbs Bag

I have ordered flour from Purity Foods for several years and appreciate being able to obtain spelt, an ancient grain, It comes in a brown paper sack which is totally recyclable. Some of us who care about healthy grains also care about the environmment. Thank you Purity Foods for caring.

I use this (with about 1/8th ratio of Whole grain Spelt and 7/8ths White Spelt) to make unleavened bread (no yeast). It's the best pizza dough I've ever had. Heavier in the mouth but lighter in the stomach, the opposite of white bread with yeast (which only makes it rise faster, bread rises naturally over 2-3 days if you just wait). Vita Spelt is the best quality. Also, I got a refund when my order was somehow misplaced. I'll reorder.

This is the best gluten friendly flower ever! It’s great for baking as well as pasta and pizza dough. You would never know it’s made from spelt.

Not white, bread is very dark.

I love this flour! The price and quality are good and it works well with just about any recipe requiring flour. I have celiac and it doesn't bother me although it is a relative of wheat. It's the closest thing to wheat that works well and tastes good, so I use it all the time, even when baking for others. They can't tell the difference, which is what I like.
