M.2 SSD NVMe Heatsink for Samsung 990 980 Pro 970 EVO Plus SN570 SN750 SN850 Firecuda 530 with Silicone Thermal Pad, Red

Bought to use with a SSD on my PS5, as it was recommended to use one, and it fits perfectly! So far as I have had it I’ve no heat issues regarding the SSD. It’s very much worth it to purchase one of these to make sure there won’t be any issues in the future!

TL;DR Easy to install and keeps the drive coolBig caveat: I used during building my first PC and am new to this so take with a grain of sand.This was on a secondary M.2 slot with a Samsung s990 pro.It was easy to install.I tested read and write performance and under a 30 minute stress test (two 15 min tests, one for read and one for write). The max temperatures I saw were 60 C for read and 70 C for write. Samsung says (under specs from their website) that the drive should operate between 0 and 70 C, so this is just within that range. However I have seen other SSDs hit well over 110 C in the stress test (esp during write), so I believe this heatsink is allowing my drive to operate well and with good thermals. I'm very happy with it.

Installed two SSDs in my mini PC and got these for heat sinks. Excellent quality, the kit includes tools and extra screws and even a setup video on YouTube. Space was tight in my PC and I wasn't able to install them side by side in the m.2 slots; but removing one screw from one and two screws from the other (each has three on each side) was just enough room. Very happy with this purchase.

It works. Installed on 990 Evo Plus 1TB (boot drive right above GPU, about 1/2" away from CPU heatsink). 2 small square thermal pads were used on the drive where no chips are on (lower locations). Then, used the full length blue on top. Orange pad only has 1 clear film to remove at the bottom where it sits on the buttom plate. Hold the heatsink on top of the blue pad firmly and add screws. Temperatur of the drive was 45 degrees. 35 degrees with the heatsink installed. Same temperature with 990 Pro 2TB w/ heatsink mounted near the bottom of the board. 1 star deduction for soft screws. Hope the next one goes on fine with 9100 Pro.

It fits perfectly for my Samsung 990 EVO Plus 4TB SSD that I have for my Playstation 5 Pro

Went on super easy with clear instructions especially with the QR code you scan to watch a video. Before I shut it off I ran a game and checked temps, 29C. After I installed it now it's at 41C. Not sure what's going on but this doesn't seem right. I might try it without the thick pad and instead use some thermal paste. Idk.*** UpdateSo I checked Samsung Magician and my idle temp is now 27CMaybe the reading the first go around was right after activity?Changing my review to a 5 star

Reduced temps on my 970 Evo Plus. Worked just as intended. Temps without cooler were: 80C, 88C Hot spot. Temps after cooler installed: 59C, 61C hot spot. This was placed at the bottom of my case with fans blowing directly on the heatsink FYI. Great result!

It is a really good heatsink and not too expensive.

Works well cooling my Samsung NVMe 990 Pro 1TB. Dropped its idle temperature to 36 to 37 Celsius at 23 Celsius room ambient. I do have a hugh 120mm fan moving air infront to cool the the entire motherboard assembly. So that convection air would help.

My old SSD fell out as the motherboard didn't come with the correct m2 screw.Holds nvme down and cools it perfectly fine.
