eeBoo: Animal Village Create A Story Pre-Literacy Cards, 36 Cards Included in The Set, Encourages Imagination, Creativity and Story-Telling, for Ages 3 and up

We bought these for our 5-year-old received these for Christmas -- a big hit! The cards are really high quality and durable. The illustrations are sweet and funny, just right for inspiring some good, wacky, nonsensical, mysterious -- you name it -- stories. As our 5-year-old is just learning to read, these have given her some new ways to think about storytelling and to build those cognitive skills as she develops her reading skills. Our 7-year-old is an avid storyteller and is enjoying them, too. Even our 2 1/2-year-old loves the pictures (she thinks the owl dressed in a police officer's hat talking to squirrels in a tree is hilarious). We know she will grow into these further, and the quality means they'll have some staying power. Highly recommended for good family fun and alone-time play that builds storytelling skills.

I bought this for my sons 5 & 8. We play this a couple of different ways. One way is for each person to take a card and make up a story about that card, and then the next person takes a card and builds onto the story. You also can lay all the cards out and build a sequential story. This card set is excellent for language development, memory recall, preparing for creative writing, as well as sparking the child's imagination! I could also see this as an excellent tool for play therapy, allowing the child to use the cards to talk about their feelings or perhaps what's going on in their life. Both of my sons truly enjoy playing with these, and it's fun to see where their imaginations lead their verbal storytelling. This set is fine for either boys or girls, it is gender neutral. The illustrations are colorful and engaging, showing many different characters, but at least three cards with the same character to allow a good story flow throughout the entire set. A few cards show all of the characters together doing different things, as is show on the box cover. A great price for a great purpose!

These are super durable & the art is amazing. Randomly picking the shuffled cards & telling different stories is super fun & feeds a child’s creativity. They’re a tiny bit bigger than a deck of cards. Totally worth the money!

My daughter loves to tell and hear stories, but I'm not the best at making them up. These cards are nice story starters to help me think of ideas. Se likes the fairy/princess theme to some of them and the artwork is cute. Some of the cards are more conducive to stories than others. The cards feature recurring characters and images, which could be used together to develop a story- the directions include several options on how to use them. But because of the recurring images and characters, there is a tendency to come up with very similar stories and plot lines. I'm not sure how long we will play with these vs something like story cubes which may be more open ended.

What an incredible product. The cards themselves are very durable and the artwork is adorable. We bought a set for our daughter's third birthday; we have only used them a few times but I can tell they will be a big hit and a great interactive game for us to use together. She is just coming into the age where she loves to tell stories and her imagination is running wild. I will definitely be buying other sets to compliment this one. It also makes a great and unique gift; I purchased a second set as a gift for a 2-year-old and his parents loved it. Don't hesitate to buy this.

Of the different games we have, Candyland, Memory, Go Fish, Guess Who, and even most of the apps on our iPhone, this is our favorite one. My three year old and I both love this game, her for the entertainment, and me both for it's educational value and the amount of fun we have playing it. I felt that I wasn't very good at making up stories, but my daughter was always asking for a new story. This game has helped us both become far better story tellers. I am amazed at the stories that both of us are able to make up. If you want to encourage your child to love reading, this is a great place to give them a love for stories. If they love something, they will be very motivated to learn. It improves their memory as you have the kids repeat stories. And their creativity just blossoms. I can't recommend this highly enough. Rather than take a lot of heavy books on the road, I take this small box of cards. It does take up a lot of space when you actually play, so it is better to spread them out on a hotel bed rather than in the airplane. I bought the Fairy Tale Mix-up for a friend, and she said the card didn't have as many different items in each picture. She found it was harder to make up new stories without the various items that the Forest Story Cards contained.

This is the second storytelling card set I've purchased. This one is way cuter! The cards are lovely, great artwork and very interesting pictures that inspire more creative stories and challenge my kids more than the other set we tried (which were standard princess, rainbow, castle, - too predictable). My 3 yo and 5 yo have really loved using them to tell stories on their own and collaboratively, and use them to play school. Great gift idea for 5yo age group.

Molto stimolante sia per bambini che per adulti. I soggetti sono vari e spesso accomunati dalle vicende raffigurate. In ogni immagine ci sono dettagli da non sottovalutare. Il mio bambino di 5 anni ne è entusiasta. Ottimo per introdurre il concetto di narrazione e sequenze.

Received promptly in perfect shape. My kids (nearly 4 and 2) love the pictures and the older one tries to make stories or waits for me to tell one.

totally what we expected, kids start to build stories right away, pictures are agreeable arranged, cards make it easy to tell stories to kids instead of reading, would buy again.

Such good cards, we have a set for our older children and it is so fun to sit in a circle and make up a story using these cards! I bought these for a friends child who has speech and language difficulties as a way to help him develop his speech and they love them!
