Dave's Pet Food Grain Free Wet Cat Food, Shredded Chicken & Duck in Gravy

With the increased pricing of all food including pet food, I was sure Dave's Pet Food, new on the market, would have something wrong with it. Generally, my cats will simply refuse to eat junk pet foods made every tom, dick and harry. But the labeling appears to be accurate in its claims and ingredients, and the price is about half what others are charging. In fact the pricing is what we were paying before corporate greed doubled all our expenses. I have seven indoor-outdoor cats, and every single one of them ate and enjoyed the food. In fact a few of them scarfed it. I like that the ingredients are wholesome and not fillers. I work with rescues and have experienced many pet food types and 100s of cat reactions to various foods. I hope Dave's Pet Food sticks around and doesn't become greedy with pricing. I've recommended this food to many of my elderly friends with cats that live on fixed incomes. Definitely five stars and a thumbs up.

Kitties love Daves licked the bowls clean

I got this for a car that will periodically refuse to eat. He likes this food and will eat it during those times!

I fed my cats one meal of this soup, and they were still hungry! What a disappointment! I have fed them Dave's "Shredded Chicken in Gravy" canned cat food for years, and it is one of their favorites. I decided to try the "Shredded Chicken and Duck in Gravy," even though it costs more, to give them a treat. What a mistake! Look at the difference in the photo. I put the entire contents of one can of each on individual plates. To the right is the product I usually use, Shredded Chicken in Gravy, to the left the one I am whining about right now, just so you can see the difference in the texture. Chicken: mostly meat; Chicken & Duck: mostly liquid. (note that the Chicken only is a larger can, and the meat is piled higher; the Chicken and duck is a smaller can, and though the liquid spreads, there isn't much solid material there). I just moved from Greensboro, NC, and the pet food store there (All Pets Considered) would take any unused product for refund or exchange, but that is not Amazon's policy, so I recommend that you don't buy on Amazon two cases of anything you haven't tried yet, like I just did!

Our cats really like this brand so I hope they'll make a version of this without the menadione sodium bisulfate (complex—or MSBC). We don't give that to them for health reasons.

Sure, there is a lot of water in the can, but that's actually a plus. Can't get our cat to drink water so this is a great way to get fluids in him. So far this is his favorite cat food. Can't speak to nutrition, but if the cat won't eat it, it doesn't matter how good it is for them.

I love everything about this food. Except the price:))) It has a great ingredients which is the most important for me. It's tasty and has a looooot of juicy gravy which is important for my furry babies. Sold for life!

My picky cat likes this food and it’s cheaper than other foods of equal quality. My only complaint is that I appreciate the fact that there are different flavors but I wish they’d do a variety pack so you don’t have to buy several different boxes to get more than one flavor.
