Half-Inch Wide Medical Tape
First, this tape is 1/2" wide, while the 1" wide size is more commonly used. It was a bit jarring when I found I'd ordered this width, but it's turned out to be a non-issue. This is a 3M product, which tells me that it's going to perform. How? Mainly to protect surgical dressings for bathing. I use kitchen plastic wrap to cover the dressing, then apply the plastic tape around all the edges to keep the plastic wrap in place. Note that this tape is NOT "waterproof" to the extent that no water can ever get under it. In fact, I find that a little dampness around the edges of the tape helps remove it. But it IS moderately flexible, so it will move with the body part you apply it to. Plastic tape's adhesives are stubborn, and if left on the skin for too long they can cause irritation or skin damage. For MY purpose (covering dressings for bathing) the tape is only on the skin for 30-40 minutes, and it comes off easily without damaging the skin. Other uses for this kind of tape, such as for securing a dressing to the skin, can be problematic, so use the tape carefully, and keep an eye out for irritation.

The real deal. Great protective surgical tape
I had a severe finger injury that required reattachment. The doctor gave me this tape without telling me the trademark name other than 3M. It worked great to protect the injured finger (I'm a bassist musician and still use the tape for strenuous rehearsals). When I ran out, I couldn't' find it anywhere in pharmacies or medical supply stores. This is the exact same stuff - protects well, has similar tactile qualities to skin (doesn't stick or slide on my bass strings), and comes off clean and easily. The original stuff I had was 1 inch wide, but I was usually tearing it to this width to apply to my wound anyway. Good, high quality stuff, great price and quantity.

Good Product - HORRIBLE shipping!
Good product, shipped in a plastic bag (no box) severely CRUSHED and horrible. So now it doesn't go where I need it to store in multiple places. How was MY money, did it spend okay? Maybe find a different seller.

Perfect tape for embroidering!
Yes, who else uses surgical for sewing? Embroiderers. It's perfect for holding down my fabric to embroider on.

Good alternative to white fabric wayerproof tape
This tape protects my sore toes and finger. Itโs not as waterproof or durable as white fabric tape, but it is transparent and therefore much less obvious, and its pores prevent my skin from becoming overly damp.

GREAT value for the money what weigh your pros and cons
Retired nurse here who now has to do daily dressing changes on my face. The taste itself is great. I have used it for years. It is now sold over-the-counter under a different name. I think itโs just as clear, plastic surgical tape or something, but this was actually sold here under its original transpore name (the favorite tape went by micropore, & the โsilkโ surgical tape, that we would most likely associate with being adhesive. Tape was called Durapore) They are the best tapes you can buy, and I have tried many Store brands versions trying to get by a little cheaper, but so far no come close and some even failed miserably. I had two issues with this tape no related to the quality of the tape. The first is that it has no starter piece and this taping particular is notoriously difficult to start because itโs so well blends onto itself and itโs clear and plastic like. The second issue is that I thought it would be easier to just tear it down the middle and I would have two perfect size strips for my dressing. But after I got it and tried it, I realized that the two pieces I got were a bit too wide and then I remembered that out of a piece of 1 inch tape I get three strips so Iโm gonna muddle through the best I can with this tape, but will not re-order for that reason, but if you are looking at reviews for quality of tape, and this IS the right size for you, donโt hesitate for one second because this is the absolute fest quality tape on the market for wounds and dressings and this is the best price youโre gonna find it for theyโre charging up to seven dollars or more for one single roll in the drugstore so to get 12 rolls for under eight dollars go for it. You will have to decide for yourself whether it is gentle on the skin or not because for me, itโs about the middle of the road, but it does stick very wellunder many conditions that the store brands just do not. (my dressing is on the left side of my nose down to nearly my lip, and this survives sneezing fits and a runny nose as I have allergies. HTH!

works as advertised
I use this for medical reasons every night and the adhesion is more than adequate. I worried initially that it would come off at night but I've used it every night for 2 weeks now and not had an issue. It is so sticky that one must slowly remove the tape if you are using it around your lips for night sleeping (anti-snore). I use a bit of tea tree oil to remove any residue off the lips in the morning. Iโm a c-pap wearer so this tape has helped me keep the air from escaping out of my mouth and redirects into my lungs.

Sticks well
This tape has a pretty great adhesive, but that can be painful on the skin sometimes. It also isnโt wide so itโs better for smaller things.

Great for lash extensions!
My favourite tape for lash extensions. I have been a certified lash tech for 3 years, have ordered from all kinds of high end lash suppliers, but this one is by far my favourite and go to! Sticky, but not too sticky.
