Astro 1718 Deluxe Orange 4" Air Blow Gun

Got this for the rubber nipple thinking that it would be a clip-on like the Matco. The rubber nipple is threaded, so it won’t fit the long Snap-On Prevost blow gun like I had hoped, but it’s a good blow gun at the price of buying only the little nipple from Matco.

This blow gun worked good for a while when I purchased it in 2016. It did not come with the male plug attached, so I had to buy and attach this separately. Unfortunately with time of hanging the blow gun up by its handle on a hook on my wall when not in use it now has developed a small air leak that stops when you slightly depress the trigger. I'd recommend spending the money to get a better and higher quality product that will last. Especially with the trend that I see that this item has since been cheapened up further and counterfeit and rebadged/rebranded.

It is in the smallest detail . There are countless air blow guns out there but most don't have that protective plastic tip which prevents any mishaps during close work on car body panels .

Bought to use on my job. Words well so far.

But always comes in handy. Use if I have rebuild calipers, blowing out debris & inflating kids' toys. Decent quality for price.

I run a business that sources vehicle parts for a broad range of shops - obsolete parts, discontinued parts, and when I'm unable to locate NOS parts - used parts. In those instances where used parts are sourced, those parts are cleaned and restore when necessary prior to delivery. Many of these parts are unique/one-of-a-kind, and this is one of many tools used in cleaning/restoring those parts.As the old saying goes, all good things come to an end....... which appears to be the case with the Astro Pneumatic air blow guns (1717 and 1718).What Amazon is now shipping no longer looks like, nor matches the product description - and the product packaging is much different. The "item" that is currently being shipped appears to be a counterfeit knock-off that looks identical to the Neiko  4" Angled Nozzle Air Blow Gun w/ Comfort Grip Handle , with an "Astro 1718" label slapped on it. Both the initial one I received and the replacement, where cheap Chinese made knock-offs.First, the blow gun is RED, not orange.Second, the tip is no longer easily removable as shown, or as described in the product description above. While the tip *can* be removed, it is a screw-on tip that takes considerably longer to remove/replace than the previous spring-clip tip that is shown.Third, the threads for the screw-on tip are poorly machined, and a white paste-type sealer has been used to prevent air from leaking around the threads....... well, that is until the first time you remove the tip and screw it back on. Good luck from there.I will post a few imagines of the current "product" shortly, so everyone can see the differences between what is shown above and what is currently being shipped.

Great product, basically same quality as the Snap On one I have somewhere??? Haha that why I bought this one.

Air nozzles work great well made showed up on time , also bright colour so easy to spot when busy at work

Used daily in a dealership environment, I really like the quality of it (compared to similar priced lower quality guns)
