Very flimsy made of Aluminum. If you need it to be stiff buy the stainless steel one.

Better accuracy than my old wooden stick that this is replacing. Perfect for the classroom, and cannot beat the price.

For the current price it will fill my need, but compared to older, American made yard stick this made in China rule is made from soft, thin aluminum bends easily and is printed only on one side. Wouldn't buy it again.

This yardstick is a great buy. It's flexible aluminum, which allows you to measure over slightly curved areas. Also, because it is constructed out of aluminum you don't have to worry about warping (like wooden yardsticks) or rusting/oxidizing (like steel yardsticks).Another nice feature is that it has no metric on it. Since metric has little use here in America, centimeters just tend to get in the way, and you always have to make sure you're using the right side on US/metric combo yardsticks - but this one doesn't have that problem.It is graduated in 1/8 inch on one side and 1/16 inch on the other - very handy.The one thing they could do to improve would be to actually have the numbers and graduation marks impressed into the metal rather than just painted-on. While the paint may be durable, it's always a nice feature to have the markings set deeper than the surface.

I know most people are out there actually using this thing to measure stuff. Not me. I could not for the life of me find something that was long and straight enough to trace a straight line and cut out some stained glass window film-- you can put it in a window to create privacy and/or decorate a window on the cheap. I ordered this because in the photo it shows that it has 2 holes one on either end and the one I received does not I could have gotten any yard stick the reason I ordered this one is the fact it had a hole on either end thanks for nothin
