Needzo Our Lady of Kazan and Christ the Teacher Byzantine Icon on Prayer Rope Catholic Rosary Wooden Beads 18 Inch From Ukraine - 2 Sided

Very good quality and good very for prayer

I very much like this rosary (five decades, not the same format as a prayer rope), but want to clarify a little bit what is said in other reviews. I consider this a DIY rosary. That is; you'll want to replace the tassel with one better made or, as I chose to do, replace it with a cross/crucifix. The icons are stickers, as has been stated, but a coat of acrylic will take care of any peeling. The beads are a good size for praying, but it's likely it will need to be restrung with frequent use. I'd think wire would be a good choice for that. If none of that is an issue for you, you'll like this rosary as much as I do.

While it's a very lovely rosary that seems to be of fair enough quality, it is in fact not the same as in the photo. The large beads are darker wood than shown and the icon medallion is slightly different, although it still contains the Pantokrator and Hodegetria. The tassel appears slightly smaller than the one in the photo, and is brown rather than red. Even so, it is still a very beautiful rosary that should last a fair while provided one handles it carefully.

An attractive and very manageable aid to praying the Jesus Prayer, at a tiny price. The tassels on mine were a bit ruffled when it arrived, but that doesn't bother me. .

really worth it

Pretty cheap. Tassel fell off after one day. Bargain price = bargain quality.

While I love the color of the wood used for the beads, I was not impressed with the icons of Mary (holding infant Jesus) & Jesus the Teacher. My issue was that they are stickers pressed on either side of a solid round plastic foam. For the price I guess it's fine, but I would pay a much higher price for something more lasting and authentic (like maybe metal with the images pressed into it (like a coin).

It's lovely, but the tassle became unraveled within a week. Also, the icon fades fast.
