Q: do you have to press the power button 5 times cylcling through all the modes to turn it off each time?

If you leave the light on one setting for a short while, maybe a minute or so, not long, it will switch off on the next press. I have another make that does force you through it's 3 modes but the Boruit doesn't.

Q: Will it fit a hard hat ?

yes, but you may need to buy some hard hat clip

Q: when light is plugged in to charge it will come on . the battery is fully charged but when you unplug it it will not come on. What am i doing wrong?
