Farr Laboratories Cysta-Q Maximum Strength Interstitial Cystitis (IC) Relief and Bladder Discomfort - Urinary Urgency and Frequency – 60 Capsules

I was diagnosed with IC 2 years ago. Been on elmiron, gabapentin, lots of stuff. I found myself online again looking for another supplement that would actually help my IC. I have tried so many supplements that I seriously didn't think this would do anything for me when I bought it, but I bought it anyway because of all the good reviews. I actually thought some of them were fake because of how many good reviews there were. I don't know why my urologist didn't recommend this to me. Its been three full days since I've started taking 3x a day and I felt better on the 2nd day!!! I have been on so many Rx's and tried so many different things to help my IC and vulvadynia pain...I literally can not believe it actually works. At least SOMEBODY actually knows something about relieving IC pain. Somebody needs to find a cure or acceptable treatment for this. Anyway, it came earlier than expected in the mail too. I don't know why it's so expensive, as I can buy 120 capsules of quercetin for $15 on amazon, and similar prices for bromelain, the two main ingredients in this. Anyway, if you have IC, even if you have tried everything, buy this. It really helps!!!!A fellow IC patient

I was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis this past December 2014. My urologist recommended this product. I didn't try it first. I put together some natural supplements suggested by others with the same diagnosis. However, I got very sick with a sinus infection/cold and I just could not keep from being in pain, so I gave this a try. I need to be able to go to work! For me, I take one tablet three times a day (basically with each meal). I do try to watch the trigger foods that worsen my condition. If I am sick, I have learned that for whatever reason, I am going to be more susceptible to symptoms. With Cysta-Q, I find I can manage my symptoms and go pain-free (but it takes 3 per day for me). I did try the vitamins that Farr Labs created for persons with IC, but I find I cannot take those without my symptoms flaring up. However, I have been very happy with the management of my IC with Cysta-Q and would definitely recommend it to others. It is kind of expensive, but no more so than the several supplements I was buying myself to try to manage my IC. And I like taking just one pill at a time instead of several.

If you have IC and take this product you will see a difference in your symptoms and for that I give this product four stars. I was however a tad bit hopeful that this would help put me into remission or cut my symptoms down significantly and I suppose that is because I read the reviews of people who were helped enormously. That wasn't my experience however, I did have a reduction in the urgency to urinate. So I still have pain, I still have to pee many more times then the typical person but when I do have to urinate the urgency isn't overwhelming thanks to this product and for that I rate it four stars and will probably continue to use it because every bit of relief helps.

Update...6-11-13...Just a reminder to those of you who have the devastating disease...Interstitual Cystitis...like me. We grasp at anything that might possibly give us some relief from the pain. This company States that their product will help...so people purchase it. When it doesn't work...they tell you that they can't refund your $50.00 because you opened the bottle...what?...how are you going to see if it works.Update...6-8-13...DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT...IT DOES NOT WORK!!!!!!!!.......I HAVE TRIED AND TRIED TO GET A REFUND AND THEY WON'T EVEN DISCUSS IT WITH ME. IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING PURCHASING THIS...SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND FLUSH $50.00 DOWN THE TOILET.This is an update...I have tried everything to get a refund on this product...think twice before you buy...It does not work for me and the company refuses to refund my money. I have been desperately searching for nonprescription help because anyone that has this disease knows how expensive prescriptions for this are even with insurance. I had been sick for almost 6 months ~ multiple doctors and myself thought the "tummy ache" was caused by the digestive system. After thousands of $ in tests, I went to my urologist. After a very thorough exam, I was diagnosed with a bladder infection, kidney stones and cysts on the other kidney. After an antibiotic and after "shock wave" out-patient treatment for the stones, I felt well for about 24 hours. Then the "tummy ache" returned. I was then diagnoised with intersitial cystitis and given a sample bottle of Cysta-Q. It took a few days but after buying a full 60 tab bottle, all symptoms were relieved. I now take 1 capsule once a day just about the '24-hr. mark' from the last one ~ and I seem to go about my day with no pain. Having survived 4 brain surgeries almost 15 yrs ago, I was very suspect about a non-Rx solution (back then I had many "helpful" suggestions of supplements during the 9 mos. prior to the brain surgery diagnosis, none worked.)BUT! This truly seems to be worth the money and has been effective for me.
