I bought this for cutting, the price is amazing but if your looking for a sword for cutting keep looking unless your broke 😂

Got as a gift and loved it doesn’t look cheap either

This item is a long 42" Samurai style sword with wooden display case. The sword comes complete with a very nicely decorated plastic sheath, a woven wrapped handle and long curved blade. The guard is made from metal is very ornately decorated. The stand is very easy to assemble and displays the sword extremely well. The steel blade arrived mostly dull, which is probably a good thing, as the intent with this was simply to leverage as a display piece. Honestly, for as nice as it looks it's a great value at this price. Overall, I've always wanted a nice display piece that would attract attention and this does that. It's not overly expensive and is nicely decorated. We'd highly recommend if you want something to show for without breaking the bank.

The swords were absolutely beautiful and the only reason I gave it the stars I gave it is because neither one of them was sharpened. In the description, it says they are sharp. These were not.

I'm amazed at the quality they make this with and how they can sell it so low. The scabbard is beautiful with the dragon pattern on a black laminated background. The Katana sword is proper length and has a proper two hand type of hilt. While it is probably not good enough for actual combat the blade appears to be quality steel, and although they don't specify the carbon if it has it in the process it should be durable to an extent and hold its sharpness. Some like to put pinecones, pineapples, or melons on posts and slice them up for practice. I think it's fine for that application. Absolutely not for kids or most teens. Unless your teen is taking a martial art that employes swords this is best used for adults as a decoration. The display stand makes is great for putting atop a shelf or the fireplace. If you do play with it for testing the cut, it has a sure grip wrapped hilt you use both hands with, and an oval guard so your hands don't slip on the blade. I got a similar one and the scabbard didn't fit well, but this one is perfect. The attention to detail is nice. I have a real officer's Japanese sword from WW2 a friend gave me that his did got during the war. By comparison this is pretty good quality. Although the sheath or scabbard with that one is steel. Hard to find a value as good as this makes a great display piece. Recommended.
