A bit pricey, but when you're faced with buying another fresh $65 gallon of paint because someone ruined the rim of your nearly full custom mixed metal can or if that old can if beginning to rust out, then these plastic cans are heaven sent. I use then all the time as a matter of course and never worry about rust or any other issues. I just thoroughly mix the old paint and then pour it through a fabric paint strainer temporarily fitted right inside the new can. A quick razor cut on the old label usually allows it to peel off easily which can then be fitted to the new can with tape. Easy peazy. Soapbox time: I think we can see why most brands of paint are still using metal cans - They sell more paint when the metal cans are compromised. If they all offered plastic cans (like Behr), that would be great - especially if they were made of recycled plastic.

When I purchased this item it was because it offered triple lock and made it appear as though this container locked securely, however, upon delivery the lid was defective. It does not shut securely AT ALL. It is like buying a Tupperware container for sugar, only to discover the lid is defective..Therefore it is garbage. I was initially going to return it until I discovered my only option was to take it to a Ups store, or drop off box for free(hard when you have NO CAR) or pay $8.00 to return the item by scheduling a pick up. I decided to keep the 8.00 in my pocket and ordered a similiar item from a different Amazon seller and ate the other 5 bucks and change. Not worth the headache. It seems like the manufacturer did not cut the lid down right in a certain spot, therefore it doesnt shut correctly. Great item otherwise.
