Mypurmist is made in Indonesia at a facility that is ISO 13485 and ISO 9000 certified and inspected. The 13485 certification is for manufacturing medical products and the 9000 is for using and maintaining a quality process. The facility makes a number of medical devices and is regularly inspected by the FDA and other national regulatory authorities.

You absolutely can not use distilled water in your Mypurmist Free cordless or Mypurmist 2 devices. Using the incorrect water for these model can defect the unit or shorten the lifespan overtime. It is instructed that you should only use Ultrapure Sterile Water which comes in a 20 pack of 30ml ampules. Why water purity matters with mypurmist free:

DISTILLED WATER
Distilled water is water that has been distilled. It is not a guarantee that contaminants are not present. In fact, distilled water is almost never pure. Impurities from the manufacturing process are not necessarily eliminated and don’t have to be either. According to United States Pharmacopeia the only real specification is that distilled water has almost no mineral (salt) content. In can still have “solids” like live or dead bacteria, viruses, RNA/DNA fragments, proteins, dust, plastics, particles, etc. The same is true for deionized water and reverse osmosis water. It just needs to have a very low mineral content. It is labeled and primarily intended for drinking and household use.

ULTRAPURE WATER
Ultra Pure Water is a term used for water that is molecularly and chemically as close to H2O as possible. Ultra Pure Water, is a specification for water that does not have any impurities whatsoever - or where impurities have been carefully removed to the largest extend possible. In Ultrapure Water the liquid is distilled and then passed through several sophisticated mechanical filtering and polishing processes to eliminate any impurities. The resulting water has virtually no remnants of solids, organics, bacteria, viruses, dust or particles.

MYPURMIST ULTRAPURE STERILE WATER REFILLS
When manufacturing mypurmist ultrapure sterile water refills, we shape, fill and seal the the product in one simultaneous step. This is called “blow-fill-seal” and is commonly used in the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals because it preserves the quality of the liquid.
