Fat Toned Blues!
Finally! Albert's secret tuning revealed! But you'll have to buy this to find out! This folio contains many of Albert's greatest, including 'Born Under A Bad Sign', 'Laundromat Blues', and 'Blues Power'. The folio is expertly engraved and edited. Get it if you want to learn tunes that were a major inspiration to Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Be aware!
Albert King, one of the true giants of the blues! Listen to Eric Clapton's solo on Strange Brew - pure Albert King style. In fact it's a rip off from Albert King's Personal Manager. He was an inspiration to a whole generation of guitar players. Mike Bloomfield was quoted saying; "Albert can take four notes and write a whole album".So what's the catch with this excellent(!) book?Well, you need to retune your guitar to Albert's tuning (from looking at DVD's I'm not sure they got the low-E string correct...). That means tuning the guitar down 1 ½ steps (!), something which may cause your guitar neck to back-bow. I'm an Albert King fan so I just went out, bought a brand new guitar and had it set up for this tuning - not everybody are willing to, or can afford to, do that. You should really be aware of this low-tuning before you buy this book (I didn't!)!If you however decide to go ahead and buy this book you will be in for a major joyride! Nothing's quite like stepping into the shoes of this blues giant and let those crying 2 step bends fill the air with the real blues!

Tunings A Bit Confusing But Good
At the top of each song page it mentions Drop D Tuning, but as far as I can tell they in a lowered version of Standard Tuning.

Watch out for the tunings.
Good book featuring the work of a great artist, but I forgot that Albert King used some weird tunings on his guitar which makes the tabs hard to follow at times.
