Can 100% cotton shirts be used?

Not best to use cotton unless you have the sublimation type spray that can be found on Amazon. I haven’t used it because people say it doesn’t wash well. Meaning it fades. I use the polyester shirts.

How can I tell what paper is which design? I bought four different packages...

The paper that I bought you can see the different designs on the paper. The paper is a very drab version of the printed color. So to me purple looks purple just drabbie (I know that's not a word).

Any trick to figuring out what color each sheet is before heat? They aren't labeled & I can't tell especially the cool colors apart (ex green vs blue)

No trick. You would have to check with the vendor. Maybe they can help you.
