This is household must have item. Particularly love the sugar free option because it helps with gi and keeps the blood sugar stable. This still taste not bad.

This really helps regulate me. I take 2-3 spoonful's mixed in with a glass of water every day. I've tried Metamucil and other OTC meds but this is the only one that works with my Linzess. Even when I go on vacation I take this with me. It really doesn't have much of a taste but I'm ok with that since it's sugar free and I watch my calorie intake.

Updating my review to 4 stars: I have indeed found that by adding more milk than I used to, the taste is much improved. So, I'm satisfied with it. Original review: The powder was off the market for several months, so it's good to have it back, and it should be as effective as ever. The taste was dramatically altered. It's much "sharper" now. Some of the things I notice on the labels - it used to have 80 mg of Calcium and 115 mg of Potassium in each rounded tablespoon, and got 24 calories from maltodextrin. The new edition has 104 mg of Calcium, and 14 mg of sodium - no potassium. Maltodextrin is supplying 30 calories now. I don't know if any of these changes are responsible for the change in taste - the product also lists general natural and artificial orange flavors. Bottom line - it used to a mild orange. I mixed it with cold water and topped if off with milk, which made it creamy orange. The new formula seems intended to challenge the orange-flavored Metamucil. Metamucil orange is a revolting flavor, reminiscent of the old orange drink called "Tang." I don't know, the new flavor is spicier and sharper, maybe some people will like it. I plan to replace more of the water with milk, to see if that helps.

After 6 years on Meta....well, that other brand . . . I switched to Citrucel because the fiber ingredient is non-fermentable. That means less gas on your gut. I have to take this every day for my colon, and this works great. It is slower to form into a gel, so you can drink it more slowly. I am not crazy about the artificial sugar, but hey, it's OK.

I rarely give a five-star but here's why. To appease my doc I tried the other stuff,s tarts with M. It turned to sludge before I could really drink it. And it gave me irritated innards. Citrucel: doesn't stop being a liquid before I drink it. No irritation, bloat, gas. It's like drinking Tang when I was a kid. And I note that for both, I double the water right off the bat to keep things, er, "smooth". Once a day, in the morning, so far so good! (Note: I also eat raw chia seeds, but my doc wanted me to have more SOLUBLE fiber, and here I am!)

I have been taking this product daily since 2002 (over 20 years). I used to buy it at Costco, but they stopped carrying it. Then went to Amazon, but saw that it was hard to find in late 2023. Like many others I used up the "old stuff" on hand and fortunately it started to re-appear when the "old stuff" ran out. I wish it came in the larger size, but at least it's available. The "new stuff" is exactly the same as what I have been taking for 2 decades. It acts the same, it tastes the same and it mixes the same. If the mixed reviews here concern you (like they did me), take comfort from my experience and spend the $20+ to try it yourself. Hopefully the larger size will also start to re-appear soon, but in the meantime life is back to normal with the product being available at a decent price.

Fiber powder isn't the best thing in the world to digest, and this one has a bad texture as it thickens the water to an unpleasant degree, while also not mixing in fully even when I use my milk frothier or immersion blender. The flavor is fine, but I'd prefer plain.

Tastes great and works wonders!! Mixability is at best a 7/10 but worth it for the results!!

The product is excellent but there was supposed to be two packets/ bottles in the shipment. I received only one. I have re-ordered hoping to get two.

BUYERS BE AWARE!! PRODUCT QUANTITY IS NOT AS DESCRIBED. I ordered this product expecting two bottles of Citrucel. When the parcel arrived, it only had one bottle. I contacted the seller and they offered a 33% refund. I declined and requested the missing product or a 50% refund. I will provide an update when one is available.
