What size for 5.5 big kids size for a 4,9 boy

My son is 5.5/6 shoes 12 yr old n I got him the youth large n fits great.

Will these fit a 4 year old?

Unless there is a huge difference between the medium and small I would say no. We got the medium size for my 8 year old and they fit my husband. It says youth medium on the package but they were huge.
