How much of the probe length needs to be inserted into furnace?

Although Garrett made me spit Coke out my nose, hi is correct! The temperature sensor element is at the tip of the probe, the rest is just stiff shaft to support the tip. Oh dang, I did it too! 😂

is this for temperature of 1300 c? and has ceramic around?

No it does not have ceramic it is stainless steel but it does work at least up to 1100 C°. I tested it in my metal melting forge.

So how do I get a thermocouple the length I need? You have them listed at 100mm, 150mm, and 200mm.

This is the length of the probe. just order the length you need... 100mm = approximately 4 inches.

What is the actual range in Celsius on this and whats the length of the probe?

The range in Celsius is 0 to 1300 / The probe length on this one is 8 inches / I have a couple of those i use to regulate a coal furnace, they work great!
