Highly recommended for quality, purity, and taste
All true, although these were small sardines, less than 2". Nonetheless, the can is packed tightly to the sides so you get the same amount of fish or more than you usually find in a can. I love them. The online sardine review article I read that recommended this brand described horrors in cleanliness and quality of ALL the major brands of sardines that you can find at the grocery store. Sardines are very nutritious, low carb, and convenient. The price per can is around $3 a can, while some good sardines are around $6, so these are a value if you want high quality sardines. I will reorder these.

God quality
Solid texture. Not mushy. Decent taste. Keep in mind that sardines do taste better packed in oil than in water.

Grateful for lower sodium sardines
This is a great snack without the salt (and sugar) of some poorer choices. There are no scales on these sardines, there is no detectable bone to chew on and no low-quality olive or soybean oil. Just the good stuff! They're a beautiful silver color. Very tender fish and not overly fishy tasting or smelling for me.

Note these are ONE LAYER, not two layer. Not bad but relatively tasteless.
I did not notice that these are ONE LAYER sardines, not the two layer (with smaller fish) I get in the store, which comes in identical packaging (except for labeling that these are one layer). (I got them packed in water.) I suppose they still have the nutritional benefits of the two layer but definitely not the taste of the two layer. They are relatively tasteless compared to the two layer. If I'd noticed they were one layer, especially after eating a can, I probably wouldn't have gotten them, although the nutritional value is still strong. Each can is seemingly a powerful little pack of good nutrition. I'll finish out the box I got but won't order more. Now if they offer two layer, I'd probably buy in.

One of the most reliable water-packed sardines I’ve found
I spent a lot of time researching sardines before buying regularly, and King Oscar kept standing out for quality, consistency, and long-term reputation. The brand has been around for over a century, and that shows in the product. These brisling sardines are wild-caught, wood-smoked, hand-packed, and packed in water with very simple ingredients. A lot of the negative reviews seem to miss an important point: these are packed in water, not oil. Water-packed sardines will naturally have a more direct aroma and more pronounced fish flavor. Oil, especially olive oil or seasoned varieties, softens both the smell and the taste. So if someone is expecting the milder profile of oil-packed sardines, they may not like these, but that does not mean the product is low quality. In my experience, the quality has been consistent across multiple orders, including shipping. The fish are clean, well-packed, and exactly what I want when I’m looking for a straightforward sardine without added oils or heavy flavoring. If you want a mild, oil-packed sardine, buy that version. But if you want a simple, high-quality, water-packed sardine from a trusted brand, these are excellent.

Excellent sardines, but buy them through your local store.
In my opinion, King Oscar produces the best tasting sardines and I have been a fan of theirs for years. These are petite sardines, carefully packed in your preference of spring water or olive oil. However, the entire 12-pack I received from Amazon looked as though they'd been through a blender. I'd never seen this before from King Oscar purchased at my local store and can only blame what must have been very rough handling by the shipper. Excellent sardines. Lousy handling.

La calidad
Me gusta la versión en agua, que es difícil encontrar. Ideal para servir con huevo duro, jitomate, pepino. Muy saludable y nada pesado, sobre todo en la merienda.
