Its nice when there's a nice thing that also utilizes recycled material! The paper inside is good quality, unlike some notebooks that I remember from my childhood that were made of recycled paper... I really dig the pocket inside the back cover of the journal. Its a handy feature for collecting various notes written throughout my day that I might want to keep and revisit. I might suggest a lower price, to be more competitive with similar journals which don't use recycled material... Overall, I am pleased.

Wrapping a recycled product in plastic is counterproductive so I hope you find an alternative to this please? I have a couple books from clever fox which are exceptionally made but sadly they don’t have lined books like this one. I was hopeful this would be able to stand up to CF’s quality but I hate to say I’m slightly disappointed. Overall it’s okay. But of all things you’d think they’d add a pen loop for a journal. I thought it wouldn’t be a big deal but turns out it’s a small big thing that really shouldn’t be overlooked for this kind of thing. Also it doesn’t lay flat and in just a few days of use writing maybe a page a day the binding is slightly loose and there is a crease and peeling on the outside. The paper is nice and thick and I like the added folder, ribbon and band but I don’t think I’ll be buying this again unless it’s improved and I hope it is.

This is not lie-flat. Even after pushing down on the open spine, it still does what's pictured. It's a sturdy notebook, but I'm considering returning for this reason.

This is the best journal I’ve ever had in my life. It’s sturdy, light weight and the ink doesn’t bleed through the pages. If you’re looking for a great journal than look more further! The best part is that it’s 100% recycled and made right here in the good ole U S of A
