For someone with bad hearing I was looking for a radio with a distinct and clear sound production and this perfectly fits the bill,and at a very reasonable cost.Sound is well balanced between low and high frequences which makes speech/voices sound very audible,and with plenty to spare on the volume control.It is also a very attractive well-designed repro [reminds you of the cars in Cuba with the pale blue livery].Dimensions= Approx 10"W x 6"H.

From the moment I saw this I knew that I had to add it to my collection for a number of reasons. The main one was the stylish 50's American car look but I also wanted a portable unit with stereo sound. I wasn't disappointed in respect of these and I couldn't believe how light it was - making it ideal for days out or moving around the house. The sound quality is superb and I only need it on volume level 5 (out of about 16) for a few stations. It has 2 alarms and a more important feature for me - a sleep function allowing up to 90 minutes before it switches itself off. The 'Info' button is really useful too as it shows signal strength, whether the station is DAB or DAB+ and the battery level remaining if you're using it on the 4 x AA batteries (from 100 being max. strength).I have deducted a star as it doesn't seem to like rechargeable batteries. It does accept them - eventually - but there is a big delay for it to recognise them. There are too many great features from a very reasonably priced unit for me not to recommend it though.

The minute l opened the packaging and took it out l knew it was perfect for my new house. Yes its retro in style which is the look l wanted + it goes well with my kettle, toaster and toaster and I'm just thrilled with its stylish looksNow the not so good bits, l found the user instructions difficult to fully understand. The scanning for stations was easy but how to keep the ones you want l still haven't worked out, so l just using the station / channel l use most by putting it off and on with standby knob. To my ears it very fit for the purpose, but I'm sure it will not be so others no matter how well your ears work. Would l buy it again? a definite yes if l can fathom out the storing and recalling the channels l like

Looked and sounded ok and a reasonable price, but broke after 1 day. Still powered up but no sound coming out so had to return.Bought a "pure" dab to replace it. Much more expensive, but better sound and it works!
