Both lightbulbs turned on but only 1 connected to the app. The colour range is great & the scenes work really well. Without a hub you're limited to controlling the bulbs via Bluetooth when you're near them. They can be very slow to connect after switching the power on which is annoying & impractical. They're also really expensive, & I don't want to get my phone out every time I want to turn a light on or dim it. For controlling lamps I prefer using a smart plug to time on/off & control with voice on Google Assistant. I returned mostly because the connection issue but I probably wouldn't buy again.

Really like Philips Hue. Have them connected to Google nest mini so you can control the brightness and when to turn them on/off. Already had the HUE bridge so it was an easy choice when upgrading the lightning to the other rooms.

I purchased two sets of these bulbs (for a total of 4 bulbs) to use around our flat, as we don't currently have dimmer switches, and don't want to go through the process of installing them. The lights were easy to install as expected, and quick to setup via the app, with a single scan allowing me to pickup all 4 at once, then change their names and update firmware. We use an Alexa to adjust the light brightness in each room which works perfectly. I also own a set of 'Philips Hue White & Colour' bulbs, which have worked with no issue since 2022.

I’ve got sucked into Hue lightbulbs and whilst I do think they’re very expensive for what they are, especially the colourful ones, they do seem to last years! I bought these ones recently but have had other Hue bulbs for over 5 years with daily use and they never had any faults (hoping this doesn’t jinx it). I like that Hue works quickly with Alexa/Apple/Samsung etc. so it’s better integrated than other brands. Most of the bulbs I have are white ambiance ones and I’m not sure I get the most out of the colourful ones (I don’t tend to want a whole room in purple/green/red!) but I’ll keep these. As easy to fit as any other bulb, connects straight away. Lights are bright, even on the 800 lumen version.
