Update: March 7, 2018Emerge was pro-active upon reading my initial review and took action to address the strap issue that I had pointed out on the gymnastics rings kit that I had received. The communication I received from Emerge assured me that the issue was a QA problem and that their manufacturer committed to taking better steps to QA the straps before packing them in the future. Emerge also replaced the straps prior to me even initiating the product return. I really like that they took action even before I initiated the return. I consider this and the way they handled the issue really good customer service and a seller that I would definitely be willing to purchase from again.Upon initial use the product seems very durable and the buckles seem to lock in place well. It comes with 15 foot straps, which is definitely longer than I need, but can easily be wrapped and fastened back out of the way using the attached velcro straps.The replacement straps I received appear well made and I have no concern in using them. I think the wooden rings themselves are outstanding. I have another pair of wooden rings which are slightly larger, but the ones I received from Emerge seem superior thus far. I am still not a big buckle fan, but these seem to work pretty well, so no complaints on the buckles themselves. I am hoping they wear well.If you need to adjust the strap length frequently based on the movement or exercise you're doing, you might find strap adjustment a bit annoying. While adjusting the length is pretty quick, adjusting both sets of ring straps so that the rings are aligned, followed by wrapping the excess strapping will take some extra time. You can cut down on the time needed by pre-marking anchor points on each strap and just letting any excess strap length dangle while you're doing your routine. Alternatively, there are other, non-buckle, options available that use carabiners in conjunction with straps that have well marked and stitched anchor points, but the ones I have experienced seem to be of shorter overall length.Initial Observations:===============My decision to go with this particular set of suspension rings was that they appeared fairly solid from what I could glean from the description and based on a casual review of customer comments (reviews are hard to gauge a lot of times based on the reviewers review history, especially when they rate everything reviewed a 5 star - geez).Upon initially mounting the rings they appeared pretty good. Unfortunately, upon further inspection, I found that at least one of the straps had been pieced together using two separate smaller pieces that had been sewn together (please reference photos accompanying this review). I am not sure if this was intentional or not and where it may have occurred in the overall manufacturing process. It is entirely possible that this was the way the strap was received by the manufacture. If so, then I would consider this a QA issue (unless the manufacture could certify that taking two separate pieces, sewing them together and still be as strong as a single span of strap - I don't think so). Therefore, I am not keeping the product and returning. I may try to get it replaced and see if I have better luck on a second attempt or I may just look elsewhere.Overall, the rings and straps seemed fairly durable and if what I described doesn't bother you, then go for it. In my particular case it's more than likely a non-issue since I am a fairly small gal, but you big dudes with some serious weight might want to examine your straps carefully.The buckles were coated black, but appeared to be constructed from what I refer to as pot metal. Again, probably a non-issue for someone small like me, but something for the big guys to keep an eye on. I would have preferred something a bit more industrial strength for the buckles, but again they seem ok.

I love these rings! Have them on my wall mounted pull-up bar and am very pleased with the versatility and strength of them. They feel very sturdy and I anticipate a long life out of them.

So I’ve been able to pack on a few lbs of muscle with this equipment and it’s easy on my wrists. My only gripes are that the rings had a few burrs and I almost got a splinter on a few occasions. I also wish the rope itself had numbering on it. But other than that I’m satisfied. I guess one downside is that people at the gym stare but who cares. These are fun!

I definitely Liked the price. Less than $30 was definitely nice. These are definitely not bad rings. Their good rings and the straps are definitely good enough. I just wish the rings were smoother. You kinda feel like you should sand them down a little more before using them. To avoid splinters.

I got it for my kids because it was cheap I did not think it would hold me. I was wrong. I am using it as well.

I’m not an experienced gymnast, but the rings and strap appear to be of high quality.ON RING THICKNESS:I wanted to know whether they’re FIG-compatible, but I could not find the thickness of the rings specified anywhere, neither on Amazon detail page nor on Emerge’s web site. I even contacted them through the web site to ask, but they never got back to me. I ordered them and measured with calipers to resolve the mystery for me and you. The rings are 27–28mm when measured parallel to the ring, and 28–29mm when measured perpendicular. Inner diameter is 7.1 inches. So, the rings appear to be FIG-compatible. The strap is about 1.5 inches (37–38mm) wide.

My first time using rings so i was rather iffy on whether or not the straps would burst under any significant weight. Nothing like that, they will hold quite well, the wooden rings are so remarkably smooth you can crank Australian pull ups till your your biceps,triceps and back burns but still leave your palms rather smooth. Haven't tried anything but the basics as i knew from the begging to start small and slowly build up. Of course customer service team was also nice enough to keep track of the shipment all the way to point of even giving a few basic tips on how to use it and what exercises to start off with. There wasn't any user manual in my box though but you can look on YouTube how to strap the belt so it holds firm.So overall pretty satisfied.

I've tried a few rings and wanted to get some new ones. These are the best I've come across. Overall, rings are rings and these are sturdy and solid like they should be. The straps and buckles are better than other ones though. They are black with the logo nice and discreet, and the buckles are great because its a one way system with a quick release (a lot of other silver style ones have to have the strap weaved under and over which can be confusing). It's easily adjustable and the black buckles are also a nice finish. Plus there are velcro bits if you want to roll up the excess strap.If you want rings at a lower price then other ones are fine, but I paid more for these because I new they would last forever and the black design is nice. Plus, I'm willing to pay that extra bit if it means that I can easily adjust with a strong and easy to use buckle.

Solid product with some basic exercises, quality kit and very motivational branding for a beginner like me. Arrived quickly

Great product. Simple to setup and very secure once you have. The rings themselves are beautiful and smooth with no rough edges that needed sanding before use. I'd definitely recommend this for home or in the gym.
