Reading Fundamentals: Grade 6: Nonfiction Activities to Build Reading Comprehension Skills (Flash Kids Fundamentals) Illustrated Edition

After viewing the interesting topics and great pictures, I bought this as a summer practice book for my rising sixth grader. I thought the passages were well done, but was disappointed in the questions at the end of the passages. They were often true/false or would give two options to pick from for the answer. It was too easy for my child to just skim the passage and than get all the questions correct without having to really digest the text.

bought this for my daughter to do in the summer between 5th/ 6th grade. It was a bit too easy. But she enjoyed reading/learning the stories

for my student. haven't started using it but looked at it page for page and it is a good book. great story choices in it. Perfect for fifth grader to practice before getting into 6th grade. not hard at all

I agree with the other reviewer regarding the level of difficulty of the questions in this workbook. While the passages are short, easy to digest and informative, the questions are way too easy. I purchased this for my 5th grader and he read and completed each set of questions in just a couple of minutes. We have since moved on to a different reading comprehension workbook as a result.

This book helps tremendously with reading and comprehension. There are some great historical stories that my child enjoys as well.
