I rage-bought a box of these after being on a phone call, unable to find a pen, lol. These are my fave and I've bought many boxes over the years. Comfortable in the hand, the silicone-like coating offers a good grip, and the barrel is the perfect size and thickness for average size hands. No skips or blobs of ink. They come in blue and black ink, and fine or medium point. I like them all. Some fine point pens feel scratchy; these always have a smooth writing quality. I think I read on Wirecutter that these are also Ralph Nader's favorite pen, and he's picky to the point of obsession. Maybe I am too, since I scoff at other pens.

Possibly the best pen and refill in their price range. Using them for at least 10 years. Writes first time and every time.

The ink dries quickly, the writing is smooth, and the pen has enough weight and grip to provide welcome comfort when taking notes. In contrast, the Jetstream Sport has comparable smoothness and ink, but is flimsy and uncomfortable when compared to the RT. Not only is the RT refillable with cartridges sold here on Amazon, but the solid construction of the RT is entirely sound and doesn't feel like a cheap piece of plastic. A note on pricing: When I attempted to find a 12ct. box of Jetstream RT pens online, the best available price amounted to $2.83/pen + taxes and shipping. The 3 ct. packages sold on Amazon cost $3.49/pen + taxes and free shipping. Strangely enough, the 2 ct. costs $2.49/pen + taxes and free shipping. I wasn't able to find this pen at my local Target for a better price. Despite being smart enough to make the smoothest consumer pens on the market, Uni-ball is idiotic enough to allow 6 individually sealed (blister packaged and all) sets of pens to be significantly cheaper than 12 pens in a simple cardstock box. This kind of corporate irresponsibility just blows my mind. I won't even begin to mention how unreasonably expensive the refill cartridges are.
