Great Artists Simplify and Sangeet is one such artist ( writer, thought leader). If you are contemplating a startup, please read this book. It will give you an excellent perspective on core concepts for a successful business model.I have been reading Sangeet's blog (http://platformthinkinglabs.com/) for past several years and have been always impressed with his profound clarity of concepts around Digital businesses and platform thinking. Must read for anyone involved in platform business.
This book is a treasure trove of information for anyone involved in the platform business. This book has opened up my mind to look at the business models with a different perspective. Also, this book has covered all the concepts related to the platform in depth. Personally, this book has released just at the right time for me.

Fabulous paradigm shift book
Explained the concept very well with research data. Step by step. Could have been shorter perhaps. This is reference grade! I clubbed with digital transformation tool kit to make an end end transformation storyline. It's called digitalisation in this part of the world.

A blog article ballooned to a book.
The content and idea is good. The author tries to put forward the idea of a platform dependent on interactions. However, the content is way too repetitive. It's like reading the same blog post ten different times. It feels artificially lengthened.

I loved reading the book! It's a great and very informative read for anyone interested in the new age business models of platforms in any capacity , be it prospective entrepreneurs with ideas for start-ups , large enterprises in a journey of transforming their business models by leveraging platforms , academicians or enthusiasts fascinated by the fundamental shift from traditional linear business models to platform scale business models . The author has clearly done extensive research and analysis of various businesses leveraging platform scale as the business model and has put in a structure for other start - ups to follow to design their business and underlying technological models in order to achieve non-linear growth. The book introduces the concepts of platform scale upfront and goes on to present a canvas for designing business models for platform scale . It covers various elements of business design including ones for solving chicken and egg problem of getting critical mass of producers and consumers to kick start platform scale , designing of right levels of friction in interactions to ensure scale with quality , leveraging viral growth for achieving exponential or non-linear scale . It rounds up this discussion with a commentary on factors to take care design to prevent reverse network effects . The epilogue covers how the traditional large enterprises can take advantage of applying principles of platform scale to take their organizations to the next level of innovation and growth . I am looking forward to reading more books in this series from Sangeet !

This is one of the best books on the topic of interactive platform such as FB, Airbnb, etc.
This is one of my two prefered books on the topic together with Platform Revolution. You may find books with lots of words but zero ideas. None. Nil. Ninguna. Nada. This book is not the case. Every single paragraph is valuable and well thought. The author does not only knows his topic, worked on it and thought on it. The design of the book itself is wonderfull because it will take you from the preliminary ideas of design, business model depiction and further development of the platform. I.E the real life of platforma development. By the way, the authos does not waste your time telling stories about Amazon, FB or Zuckerberger or the like. He goes to his point. If you are looking for no excess of words and plenty of ideas and concepts on platforms, THIS IS IT. BUY IT! No kidding
