Does this smell funny when it dries (like fake tanner)?

Not smell at all like fake tanner which I hate ... very pleasant smell ... you just have to make sure that you carefully blend it ... excellent moisturizer

Will this wash off or fade in a hot tub? I'm afraid it might leave a ring around the tub.

It shouldn't wash off or leave a ring, but it will fade. If the heat from hot tub makes you sweat you can sweat it off. It has happened a few times to me, you see brown sweat running down your body/face and it will be on towel.

Is the moisturizer colored? I thought I had tried it in the store and i was suprised when I saw the white drop instead of something golden/brownish.

Jergens makes colored moisturizer, and non colored moisturizer so you probably tried a non-colored one. this specific bottle is for fair to medium skin tones and it does give you a buildable tan 'glow'. it is a form of self tanner
