For the price this is really good. I bought this to replace an Oakcastle unit I bought a few years ago. That one was totally non-user friendly and stopped doing anything at all for no reason. Dead!Had this one for a week and all is good. Yes, it’s very basic but just follow the instruction booklet and all is fine. I’ve saved channels from Astra 1 and Astra 2 and sorting out a favourites list that you can just call up is reasonably straight forward.I’ve seen comments about lack of sound and I did encounter that today preparing for the England WC debut. I chose an ITV HD channel that was silent but there are several ITV HD channels in the list (after you’ve set up whichever Astra satellites you want to use). Just had to try another couple until I found one with sound, then saved that one to favourites. All good!Rashford has just scored the 4th goal for England, and it’s all coming nicely through my dish!! Happy days.

We bought this to watch HD German satellite TV, as the main senders have stopped SD transmissions. Available programmes were quickly loaded, and while the instructions on deleting and sorting channels were very basic, once I worked out what to do, deleting and reordering channels was quite quick and easy. The picture is very good. We haven't tried the recording function.Two very minor drawbacks. The unit is very light, so can be difficult to keep where you want it, and the clock loses time quite quickly, though puts itself right once the set is turned on.Overall, a good unit at a excellent price.

Not easy to use. Only gives the next programme on the menu. Too many channels the same. And most of them Irish. I don't know how to get my channels in the right order and the instruction leaflet is no help. Unless you are a professional techno mind don't bother with this. I give up and I'm buying a different one. This one is going in the bin. Waste of money

Item arrived in good condition and packaging. Easy to setup. The people who are complaining about it not picking up certain channels, they don't seem to understand that it's NOT THE BOX, it's the area where they are. If you are in a good reception area, then you will get 335 channels, including all BBC, itv, channels, and many more. Yes, somebody said that the remote is a bit flimsy, yes it is. The only problem that I found is, the EPG page, does not go far enough, into the week. So you can record a program 2-3 day's away. But apart from that, it's a cheap box, that's worth the money you pay for. If you want a better reception, then get a better, more expensive box, simple..

Cheap and cheerful, online setting don't work because....well, you can't plug it in online.Complicated to setup a satellite, but plug and play found the strongest sat.

Update @ 5 Jan 2023: I have just bought another one for another room. Set up one at a time of 3 LNBs using "Antenna" on the menu, which allowed me to enter the diseq port numbers manually. 5 stars again. Previous review: I bought this receiver for use with a dish with 2 LNBs so that I can watch English and German TV. It is now set up and the picture and sound are excellent. Note that it works well with UK Freesat, except that the EPG only looks one programme ahead with Freesat (Not a problem for me). German EPG is OK. One thing that I did have a problem with at first, is that when playing a video from USB, it was in 4:3 format, but I found that the blue button switches between 4:3 and 16:9 format in video player mode. Some of the older reviews appear to relate to old software. I have some experience with satellite receivers and consider this one as up with the best that I have set up.
