I haven't framed mine as yet, but I think the frame should be the same size of the picture 12x16 ins.

The flat side is placed on the picture. You pick up by the rounded side.

Q: is it necessary to seal this diamond painting after finishing?

I don't know if it is NECESSARY, but I seal all of my diamond paintings.

Q: I am looking for the larger diamond, would that be the kit for beginners.

I feel that if you can follow directions any kit will do for advanced artists as well as beginners. I've done 3-4 already and love them.
