Good Product - Poor Customer Service
I purchsed two of these kits from Amazon. The convertors were installed on both an American Standard (front handle) and Kohler (side handle)toilets. Installation per the included instructions was simple and only took about 10 minutes per toilet. After only some minor adjustments, both convertors function as advertised. The shower head that comes with the kit is simple to install and offers a few settings, although it may be a little too low flow for some people. The kits do not include the J-tube assembly, shown as optional in the instructions. This is a great feature included with another convertor sold by MJSI. I tried to get information from MJSI about ordering a couple of J-tubes for the convertors, but was unable to get a responce from them via email or by telephone. Overall I would recommend the HYS420 for anyone wanting to save money on their water bill. The installation is simple, too bad getting customer service is not.

This won't work if you have a 3" valve
I love the theory behind this product. It seems very well made, certainly better than other flush valves that I have used. Alas, it will NOT work if you have a 3" opening between your tank and your commode. I didn't see that anywhere on this page and it really needs to be here. I was excited about the product and wish the folks who are making it success. That being said, the 3" caveat is noted on the product web site but not here. It needs to be here, too. Is someone listening? As far as the manufacturer goes, can you create a similar product for 3" openings? My rating is based on my assumption that the product will work, the quality of the manufacture (as far as I was able to ascertain), the great quality of the instructions and kit assembly, and the good reviews as far as support. If it worked as I expected it to, I'd have given it a 5.

the fill in valve sticks
Overall the product is good but the fill valve has some problems. When the water is flushed the float sticks and it does not drop and as a result the tank does not fill up. I need to shake it so that it works. It does not happen all the time but it happens occasionally. It is annoying.

It is a Toilet Flush Valve
I like the quietness of it. Had a little trouble getting it adjusted right, but it works good now. This is the second valve like this that I have used.

Toto
I'm not sure why some said these won't work in Toto brand toilets, installed it in all 3 of my Totos with no issues at all (side handle).I'm also not sure why some seem to over-complicate the install/adjustment, it's real easy just by following the manual. I'll make it even easier.1. Adjust the height of the whole thing as high as will go and still allow you to put the top of the toilet back on.2. Adjust the float until the water fills to about 1/2" from the top of the overflow valve.3. Start with the green one all the way up, and adjust the blue one to about an inch under the water line in the back of the toilet. Then try the quick flush, if the water doesn't all go down keep adjusting the blue down one click each time til it does.4. Adjust the green one til it flushes the way you want.5. Done. And as far as the flange, it fits perfect, and you can feel inside to make sure you didn't push it too tight til the flange wrinkles. Also use the added white thingy to wedge down in the font side of the overflow valve, this tilts it forward to face the hole better. You can also use some Vaseline around the hole before you install the flange.Great product!
