Natural Factors EstroSense Estrogen & Hormone Balance*, 120 Vegetarian Caps

I'm 34 and I've been experiencing low estrogen levels and I'm on the pill. My vulva would get so irritated and itch before and after my period, I thought it was an infection. But after using a none fragrance, hypoallergenic wash (Dove baby wash) to wash the area, I noticed a changed. Since I've been using EstroSense, I have no issues with my vulva. My periods are normal and I dont get the irritation and itching. It also helped balance the hormones.

I have been taking this for about two years now and my only complaint is that I didn't discover it sooner. I spent most of my life on birth control pills due to horrifically heavy periods, extremely irregular periods, endometriosis and severe cramping. This is because EstroSense actually lowers Estrogen levels - and thereby also lowers the risk for many estrogen-related cancers, tumors, fibroids and cysts. In a nutshell, most Western women (and many men) get far too much estrogen due to environmental factors and diets. Women who are overweight will also generally have higher estrogen levels, as estrogen can be converted from fat. When our estrogen levels are too high, it suppresses and imbalances other hormones. EstroSense not only helps lower estrogen levels, it also contains compounds which may be naturally anti-carcinogenic, anti-atherogenic (prevents the hardening of artery walls)and protects against liver damage. By balancing estrogen levels, other hormonal levels will often become more balanced as well. If you are able, please see a doctor and discuss ALL supplements you take as well as what supplements you would like to take, specifically giving the reasons for wanting to do so. While many doctors will give a "try it and see" approach, they can also test for things which supplements will not fix. Some women have irregular periods their entire lives, while others may develop this condition due to some other, more recent problem. You don't want to be the person who is experimenting with supplements while something more serious is developing.

Perfect for balancing estrogen

I’ve been taking estrosense for 11 years now. I started taking it when I was 26 for severe cystic acne and it cleared it up in under two months. I also cut out dairy and ate a 75% raw whole food diet to cleanse my body. I took it throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding for four years. And I still take it 8 years postpartum. I can’t say enough about this product. It’s a life changer. No more painful periods, no more inflammation causing cystic acne, no more painful pooping when ovulating, no more mood swings, no more fatigue, anti aging effect and the list goes on and on. I eat clean, exercise, and religiously take 4 estrosense capsules a day, alongside source of life soy free prenatal vitamins. My gyno recommended I continue the prenatal vitamins even though I don’t plan to become pregnant. The extra boost is well worth it. I’ve recommended estrosense to all of my female friends over the years, and have seen some who struggle with infertility get pregnant soon after starting estrosense. I highly recommend this product to anyone with hormone imbalance. Lorna vanderhaeghe designed this supplement years ago, and now has her own line called estrosmart. But I stuck with estrosense because it’s much more affordable. I believe the only difference is estrosense has the milk thistle. It does not have a negative effect on me after all these years of taking it, so I don’t read too much into the new studies on it claiming it could potentially be harmful. I don’t think the dosage is high enough, and my blood work has always came back excellent, even at 38 years old. This product means a lot to me and my health, mentally and physically. I highly recommend it! Give it a few months and you’ll see results! But stick to it, you’ll know if you’ve missed a couple of days. You’ll start to feel like crap again or break out. It’s powerful stuff.

I’ve been taking this supplement for several months and have noticed improvements. However, this time the tablets arrived damaged, which made them unpleasant to take, especially since the tablets themselves don’t have a very good taste.

You don't think you need this, THEN YOU USE IT!!! You have no idea how good you COULD feel until you start using this product. I started this after I took myself off the pill after 16yrs...my body had a meltdown!!! I swear it wasn't my body...I felt like I changed shape, got fat, was endlessly bloated...AHHH!!! Awful!!! I had initially gotten on the pull in my teens for horrific periods...long, heavy, painful, debilitating periods. When I stopped the pill I thiught all of that would come back...and it did for one month, along with all the other crappy symptoms. This was my Hail Mary...and OMG!!! It worked!!! I get the EXACT SAME POSITIVE EFFECT ON MY CYCLE AS I GOT ON THE PILL!!! NO PAIN, NO HEAVY BLEEDING, NO AWFUL PMS, QUICK REGULAR PERIODS (I've always been regular but now it's an incredible clockwork 28 days) ...***And I realized how much happier my mood was off the pill!!!*** So, I couldn't be happier. I don't think people realize how screwed up their hormones are or how much effect they actually have...trust me the abrupt stoppage of the pill, going natural for a month or two, and then finding this product both made it crystal clear for me. ***It MAY CAUSE BREAKTHROUGH BLEEDING ALMOST INSTANTLY WHEN YOU FIRST START, but it's fleeting and if you stay in it, you're body settles in after a cycle and it doesn't happen again. I take two pills AM and one PM daily, regardless of where I am in my cycle and it keeps everything on an even keel. ***ask your doctor, but I have to believe that anyone trying to get pregnant would benefit from the regularity this product can provide. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT, BUT THIS WAS TOO AMAZING TO ONLY WORK FOR ME! And it's guaranteed...of it doesn't work or has an undesirable effect, etc, just set up the return before 30 days. BUT YOU REALLY NEED TO GIVE IT AT LEAST 30 DAYS...I THINK 60 IS A MUCH BETTER TRIAL TO REALLY SEE THE EFFECTS. GOOD LUCK

Gave me terrible headaches. Taking for estrogen dominance. After doing more research, I learned that other ingredients are needed to help with the detox that is needed when taking these types of supplements. And that if not taken properly, can be hard on liver and toxins reabsorbed. I tried this product to replace an expensive product that was out of stock. I quit taking and ordered another supplement that has a lot of detox ingredients. Not sure if I'm allowed to say what it is... but look up DIM Detox.

The product itself seems to work, the only downside is that it does give me a mild headache even with food, and the pills smell so bad like someone's dirty breath as if they have periodontal disease. I would buy again, but these are the only two downsides. Hense why I left 3 stars.

Got many compliments about losing weight. I am a bit overweight, not obese. Also helps keep my hormones balanced.

I’ve been using this for over a month now but am still experiencing hot flashes and night sweats. I’m up numerous times at night because I can feel myself cook.

I like the product, it’s the same price or less than health stores. I wish it came more appropriately packaged- like other supplements it’s still coming in a bottle that’s 1/2 full, meaning it’s using double the needed plastic.

Bought this product specifically for the DIM as shown on product label pictures. No actual DIM in product when received. Too bad as it has good reviews for the product WITH DIM.
